  1. that's a joke, right? Nope. I honestly believe that Bush and his kind are very dangerous. I do not consider him my president and would not go to war nor would I take a bullet for him. I flat out dispise him and his cronies. I think your comments are quite ugly... As an American citizen, you accept the tenents of democracy and accept that sometimes you may not be part of the majority..but with that, your President is whoever is elected into office by the majority/greatest numbers of voters in America..and every 4 years you have the ability to vote him/her out of office to make clear your views. You also have the right to protest and disagree with the Administration's policies. However, whether you like it or not, as long as you are a citizen of the United States, he IS your president. Thats part of what being an American is. Otherwise, you can move to another country and live their good life. Also, i think its very selfish for you to state emphatically that you would not go to war for our country. Think of all the thousands of people that protect our country so that you have the rights and freedoms that you do and so that you can continue to do the things you want to do. And lucky for you, lawmakers rid the U.S. of the mandatory draft, so that you don't have to think beyond your own self and put yourself in harm's way for others. oh.. and by the way.. I didn't vote for Bush and I do not support many of his decisions, but he IS my president and i would go to war if our country needed me. I just find that there are more constructive ways that spouting venom.
  2. I did walk in on my parents and it was singularly one of the most traumatizing moments of my life. A big ICK.
  3. yea, i think you are right. Why should I feel bad about not getting something for him when he is such a jerk most of the time. The entire point of Christmas is the spirit and the joy, and not doing something because you feel you have to. thanks
  4. well.. looks like its a warm pile of poo then! I just don't want to look like I am being a bitter scrooge either.
  5. I am kind of in a quandry as to what to do for my boss for Christmas - if anything. What is the appropriate kind of gift to give your boss and/or assistant? Do any of you have any ideas? I don't know the appropriate etiquette. Is a bottle of wine and/or box of chocolates too lame? Or am I expected to spend more money and do something nicer? What is the appropriate amount of money to spend? Or do I have to get anything? On a side note, I don't really like him very much as he is quite rude and dismissive.
  6. i was 18 too. i wish it had been something really special and significant but by that time I just wanted to love my virginity since I felt so old compared to all the other high school students. Hindsight, it would have been nice to wait until it was with a first love or something.
  7. [reply Tuck yourself in early with some ambien tonight.
  8. Wedding Crashers - made me laugh Crash - made me think Million Dollar Baby - made me cry/think I really want to see Memoirs of a Geisha. It is a very beautiful and enthralling book and I hope that it is done well onscreen.
  9. oh yeah... Heidi Klum. Geez, I get my supermodels all confused
  10. I am not one to defend models as its all superficial and not good for one's body image, but Tyra Banks at least it doing more than just modeling -- she does a camp for kids to help with self esteem and confidence -- also she has done pictures of herslef with out makeup, brush-overs that make her look flawless to show that she has flaws, pimples, fat nose, etc. i have heard that Naomi Campbell is the one who is the serious diva. Doesn't she throw tantrums and phones and such? Also, didn't they have Claudia Shiffer on there just two months after having a baby. You can't say they don't have discipline.
  11. unfortunately, the sound of a truck backing up outside my office window. beep beep beep beep beep
  12. *** YEAH! ...and why no Porn Stars at "Jack In The BOX"????? oooo... good one!!!
  13. [reply I used to not really understand the whole Clooney thing, until I saw him up close. I actually felt his HEAT, before I saw him. He is definitely a sexy-looking man and simply exudes sexuality and charm, more so than I would have thought. I wouldn't kick him out of my bed, either, Andrea. i agree with you about the George Clooney thing. I used to not think he was all that hot and then i saw him in person. Wow. He really is a sexy older man.
  14. What! And no longer have visions of your **** in a wineglass? Say it isn't so. Get rid of the other
  15. i was making my bed in the morning when I was about 13 years old and I rammed the corner of the pillow (where the zipper is) in my eye. Apparently i didn't have the quickest reflexes as a child and neglected to close my eye. I ended up tearing the cornea and getting a disgusting blood vessel clot in my eye. It had to be one of the most painful experiences of my life. Also, everytime my pupil would contract it killed. I had to go to the hospital and they dialated my eye and I had to wear a patch over my eye for about three weeks. And then I had to wear sunglasses (even inside) as my eye was very sensitive to light. i now have a pillow-free apartment.

  19. I do try to do some volunteering at a soup kitchen and/ or sponsor a family/kid. Not sure what I will do this year. Funny thing is so many people do volunteer now, and the time they need people the most is after the holidays when all of a sudden everyone goes back to their normal lives. Maybe I will make it a new resolution to do something througout the year. I do also put money away each year in a 527 education fund for my nephew and niece for their college education.
  20. Favorite TV show? Law and Order sucks me in... Watersport? Sailing favorite meal?
  21. Panteen Pro-V Favorite holiday? Christmas Favorite beach?
  22. i think that they should pick an unknown woman or someone less "celbrity-like" rather than someone that is constantly in the celebrity papers. IMHO, Jessica Simpson is at the end of her 15 minutes of fame... she has just saturated the papers and press with her public life and doesn't hold much novelty. Charlize is much better than J. Simpson, but I think it should be someone less known.
  23. what in god's name is that?? It can't be real!
  24. OMG.. i saw that on Showtime Sunday late night. I have to say that I found it quite fascinating and ended up watching it for quite some time. There is something about women that really know how to move their body and are uninhibited. Plus I love dancing.
  25. that is GREAT! Did you qualify for Boston? I hope you get a well deserved massage and eat like a horse!!
