As a newbie, trying to rack up the skydives learning as much as I can and trying to get into BASE a.s.a.p, I am wondering... Skydiving isnt a sport that can easily become to overcrowded. Its like tennis...just build more courts with more facilities. On the other had we have BASE, which has a limited amount of objects to jump off of. I would think that it would become much more like surfing, a lot of localism and such. How come that BASE jumpers are still just like skydivers in the aspect of welcoming you to the sport? I have received a ton of info from a lot of friendly BASE folks, helping me out on my way to become another jumper to crowd their limited sites. Skydiving with a BASE canopy would be a great idea. Skydiving with a BASE container would be illegal pretty much everywhere on earth. Skydiving container, harness and reserve systems must pass FAA inspections, and BASE containers (most obviously by their lack of reserve canopy) do not pass these inspections. (Just wanna say that Tom is doing an awesome job of answering a lot of q's for a lot of people. I dont know where else you can find someone with this experience level that will just spend time answering a ton of q's for anyone. THANX A LOT, its much apreciated.) I dont exactly understant what you mean with "skydiving with a BASE rig would be a great idea". Do you think it would be advatageous to learn the canopy skills with the BASE canopy directly? Dont you think that taking away the reserve makes the skydive then potentially much more dangerous? I'm not completely clear on your statement. Student gear can be freefly safe, I did attempts with rental student gear, and was told its perfectly fine. I love it when some birds join you, its the coolest --------------------------------------------- As jy dom is moet jy bloei!

Another Idea: Have you seen those shirts that people wear on the beach, like old ladies? They have a young body printed on them, they really make you look twice! Now... Just been watching that LOTR clip someone posted, remided me that when I watched LOTR, (all three in one sitting, I saw a lot of people falling off of cliffs and buildings. Dude, the best thing to do is put salt in it, it will heal up real quick. As for the superglue idea, rafting in CO made your heels get vicious cracks in them, huge ones. Not having spent a lot of time reading the news, I am wondering. What exactly is the point of going back and trying to find out exactly what happened? What is the purpose? To simply be able to point fingers? Or maybe to try and find a link between 9/11 and the Iraq invasion? In any case, I think a lot of statements made by Rice and others are pretty vague, (probably intentionaly so) and now people try to accuse them of things they didnt say. Yeah, I do agree, that could be the motivation. But he was a somewhat succesful businessman back in the day, and dealt with some banks that screwed him over.
