  1. whats petrol? could you define that for us americans, please?
  2. basic research (no pun) would have givin all the info you needed. this, and other forums have been open for years, and this subject has been talked about, and will be talked about in the future. Homework could of guided you to your answer, rather than a slap to the jumpers who responded, and disrespect to those who didnt. dont blame us for your shortfallings, that could have been avoided if you got yourself a search engine besides www.whuffo.com there is no straight answer with BASE anyway.
  3. does a ranch house count as a B or a R? DWG....
  4. A few jumps in hoodies, i am also a little nervous about them, but tuck it in or wear it and cinch it down, either way limits the chances. I remember seeing a skydiving video about 5 or 6 years ago with a freeflier wearing a hoodie and doing weedwackers, the hood fully covered the reserve cap. kinda freaked me out about the whole hoodie idea, but i grew past it.
  5. I dont like to jump in gloves, but from the pic I totally see why you were. brrr.. When I go handheld the bridle is s folded inside the pc, the remaing bridle is then routed up between my palm and the pc, then droping over my index knuckle then the rest of the backside of my hand to the top of my container, then to the first pin. this keeps the bridle away from the thumb, snag point. why now start going stowed? what the alti on the tower?
  6. there has to be access inside the cylinder. might be a tight fit tho.
  7. From my read on Fabers post is that he is looking for a shorter bridal to accomplish bridal control PRE-jump, post setup of SL. not to gain 5 feet in altitude. the s fold rubberband idea would accomplish this IMO. plus without the re rigging of a bridle setup, is a lot easier. nic
  8. what if you s folded the bridal to your desired length and contained it with a tan elztic rubber band that should just let go with any tension. have fun. nic
  9. wow! is there an authority figure that deems what is safe or not? do they make you become a member if you want to jump? and after you join do they send you a shitty rag? that would be so cool....
  10. For those of you with over 50ish Slider OFF jumps that had flippy shit (gainers, font flips, twists, and stupid fun shit of the sorts, etc) envolved. (ANY OBJ) What percentage of those that "felt right" on pitching ended up with 'looking _______' Fill in the blank with a post to specific, or answer 1-4. Thank you, wanting to do flippy shit. NIC
  11. I saw the humor in your post, no need for an apology to me. However there is a serious side to your post, which FIREFLYR was pointing out. We are all learning here, and I hope we are all having fun as well. nic
  12. I was thinking, bad spot, poor piloting skills or a reall bad atempt at a SL, (how many loops do I need in the break cord, hahaha!!!)
  13. The end of life has frightened the living since living began. being afraid is natural, fighting past this known is strength. (as knowledge and acceptance is power.)
  14. Stupid is as stupid does. However ACCIDENTS do happen and we should be prepared for these too. I am not arguing, just saying things happen when the smartest off us need help too.
  15. FIREFLYR was respnding in a serious manner to a serious issue that you brought up in a slightly humorous manner. HV Electrical burns DO need to be treated by a doctor. Glad he was ok enough to jump.
  16. I would actually think that the only object that will be around forever would be cliffs. While not very often, buildings get taken out by demo teams (in making a larger B i hope

    Thank You!

very scary, run and hide scary.
  18. raven's tower, due to their nest close to the top. sometimes they are silent with their escapes, sometimes they are not so happy with us being there. I should report those freeloaders!
  19. my buddy and I got a nice little 364 ET a couple hours pre turkey day, close enough. zero moonlight, but no biggie.
  20. Not in the story but, It would be interesting to be already on the tower (as a jumper) and having people "suprise you" as your gearing up. or while they were climbing hear the shock opening.
  21. I would have to say yes... which is why the aftermath is so important. My personal rule is: if seen, then fess up and look sorry and sad. If unseen, hide! so how does that bright yellow raven work out for you in the "not seen: hide" scenerio?
  22. Jimmy Halliday also produced 'standard issue' in 2003, i think, maybe 2002.
  23. You could put a large cork over the tip to lessen the chance for that early knee surgery.
