I dont know if many of you actually know how much crap people try to pull on stores. I admit to working at a t@rget for almost 3 horrible years. I hated it. Anyway on to the stories (real that I have seen with my own eyes) Middle aged lady returning a gallon of milk with 1/4 gallon left because it went bad. Someone re-sealing video game plastic and trying to return an empty case with no videogame inside. Someone trying to return a box with no Camcorder inside. Someone buying all sorts of x-mas crap at 50% off. then 2 weeks later coming back when it is now 80% off and trying to get the difference.(you can't) Same with halloween, July 4th, Easter etc.... There was a guy who (with a recipt) went through the store "shopping" picking up all the items on the recipt and then he returned everything on the recipt. He got caught... but I'm guessing he got away with it before. I'd say your lucky they even return items at all, and not just send everything to the Manufacture. Give em hell!

My fiance came out for one of my student solos, but I was told to ride the plane down. She never saw my canopy, or me until I walked off the plane. She collapsed by manifest in tears. Now she is bugging to go out and jump. She might not understand but she should be happy your happy.

This is in Tampa Florida. Is it legal for an apartment complex to charge you "rent" for time you CANNOT live in the appartment. We were charged a months rent but were not allowed to move in until 10 days into the month. Also are there any materials on normal wear and tear on an apartment. We are being charged $320 in rediculous fees. $25 to steam clean the carpet in my room, $40 to clean my room, $80 to steam clean the carpets in the living room. $80 to "clean" the living room, $50 for paint, $40 for one set of blinds, and $5 for certified mail. I will be "objecting in writing" per florida law but then what happens? they say tough shit and charge me other crap. I am preparing stuff for the Better buisness bureau, and a local news company if this doesn't get resolved. Thanks for your help.

Ehh. Its easy to do. Full Throttle (because your using propwash to push the aircraft over) Full rudder (right or left) Full down pitch and ailerons opposite of rudder. HOLD ON! Oh yeah. I've only done it with models.

I know the consensus on jumping a camera should wait for 200 jumps but am curious on what the opinion is of having just some small digital camcorder attatched to the chestrap, turned on and then forgotten about during the dive. The only thing I can see it being a problem is during a cutaway, but if you could secure it in the center of the Cheast strap or even mount it on a legstrap, attatched to a boot, leg. Thanks.

Yeah we were prepared for the worst here in tampa, My aunt went down to my cousins house in North Port to avoid the projected path (yesterday) and of course it turned and went right into them. Once your in the door, YOU are in control of what you are doing, if someone rushes you turn around and ask "What?!?...."(like you cant hear them) and by that time you've got your 5 seconds of separation and jump.

Yes but using an accelerometer would not be affected by air pressure changes. Plus a piezo electric accelerometer is on the order of $15-$20 so its not too expensive (and the size of a quarter)

I am deciding on a senior design project and am wondering if I could possibly sell this device to fellow skydivers. It would basically be an audible altimeter, which logs alitutde, vertical speed, and the acceleration in 2 axis (so the jumper could have a reference on how hard/soft an opening was) I know this is similar to a Pro-track but with accelerometers. My main curiosity is, how many people would want/need/use the accelerometer data?

Well if the cypress fired you're going to see the reserve PC come flying out.(and whoever is sitting directly be hind the jumper will get a face full of PC) But My ride down was around jump 13 and the jumpers on board told the pilot that we had cypress on. neither fired (me and another student stayed on the plane)

I know I woudln't want a stuck toggle or a line over at 200' under a napkin. :-) Bigger usually means slower. (in both decent and airspeed) thus you have more time if something goes wrong.

At about 150' I realized I was moving along pretty good (ground speed) and so I just stayed calm and kept it level and flared, got about 2 steps and tumbled. I landed maybe 100 feet from the boarding area and about 20 feet from the taxiway (no airplanes though) I got talked to.

I believe its about 22-23 if someone sits in the co-pilot seat.

I would count it as air time, but it doesn't count for jumps. Also log what you did in there so you can talk to your instructors about it.

Well I just got ahold of 5-10,000 microfarad 250v capacitors and am conemplating something fun to do with them. So far all I can come up with is an EM cannon. Any other ideas?
