  1. Firefox shows me that the page was last modified on: Friday, October 22, 2004 5:11:00 PM Why is it in poor taste? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  2. I don't know, maybe the same way I explain the 1.8million results on google for the search phrase "Democrats against Clinton". http://www.google.com/search?&q=democrats%20against%20clinton&sourceid=firefox - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

  4. Can it still be viewed somewhere? I think it might be nice to be able to go back and read the discussions. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  5. But, but . . . this IS the Speaker's Corner. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  6. The solution proposed by the original poster is ripe for abuse, IMO. Along the lines of the submission systems you've seen on other boards, I think that might create too much noise for the current moderation staff. What I think does work though, and is fairly similar to what you've mentioned, is a PM to BillV, Q, TA, etc . . . with a mention of a problem post or thread. In fact, I think that might work better than the "report to mod" button because it requires a level of motivation for the reported. Finally, it's already here. Is there a problem with moderation now? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  7. You've criticized GM's article, but you've got nothing to back up your position. Simply saying "That isn't reality" doesn't make so. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  8. Welcome to the Speaker's Corner. If you're going to play here you had better be prepared to stand behind your ideas. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  9. There are other threads suitable for discussion about the right to KABA. I'm curious though, are you suggesting that since the right to KABA is being eroded that we should use that an excuse, take it as an OK, to erode other rights? Those who commit felonies can be disfranchised, essentially losing certain rights, as they have demonstrated that they cannot be trusted with them. With the exception of firearms, the right to vote, or rather the loss of the right to vote after being convicted of a felony is a state by state issue. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. 10. If you require passing a class to vote then it's no longer a right, it's a privilege. And to think, you were talking about ignorance in your original post. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

  12. He'd been in office for less than a year at that point. Unless there's a state of national emergency the government doesn't do a good job at getting things done quickly. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  13. What an awful way to refer to our brave service men and women, Quade. Disgraceful, really. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  14. What a novel idea! It's a shame that we're only now beginning to realize that that might be a good idea. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

  16. I fixed it for you. The American microbreweries, for the most part, have been turning out some of the best I've ever had.
  17. They must be trusted, you say. The question is do -you- trust them? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  18. Nice attempt at diversion, however you failed to answer the question at hand. Are you suggesting that it's OK for the UN to skim some off the top as long as it's not too much? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  19. A judge's job, I believe, is to interpret the law. I believe that the appeals process is somewhat of a check or balance in the system, isn't it? If you've got a particular situation where the populace disagrees with an original ruling and the appellate rulings then perhaps it's time to look at changing or repealing the law. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. 21. Depending on how detailed anyone cares to get, there are also web server and application/application server logs. There's plenty of information available, the question is how much does anyone care to gather. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  22. Yeah, and someone else just lost his job. That's awesome! - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  23. Amen. Kevin was sure enough of himself and his words that he proudly displayed some personal information in his profile. Sadly, it appears that someone decided to use that information to seek him out, seek out his employer, and level false charges against him which ultimately led to Kevin losing his job, his livelyhood. I imagine that the person who did this has something missing from his life; is it love, friends, pride, self esteem, all of the above or a combination of some but not all? To sink this low, it just boggles the mind. Whomever you are, and YOU know who you are, do you feel better now? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
