  1. Did you have something useful to add to Storm's thread, or did you want to start your own on gay marriage? Likely, but it's not because you're gay. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  2. Whatever do you mean? You seem to be voicing your free speech just fine... You post this: in SC on a hot topic and you expect people to not say anything? Did you have something to say about the article/issue, or are you simply concerned with Rhino's "ZIP IT" comment? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  3. Interesting. I've had two Crossfires, a 1 and 2. The two is up for sale as I like the 1 better. I'd love to get a jump or two on the 3 though if/when it comes out. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  4. Apparently that's not the case anymore. Some people are just fucking nuts. I couldn't agree more. Perhaps one of our legal eagles could research the case and explain to us how the judge came to his ruling as that's the most disturbing piece of this article. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. 5. AMEN! If you're up for a mega-hoppy beer and you can find it in a store near you, I highly recommend the Dogfish Head 60, 90, and 120 minute IPAs. You'll likely never find the 120, but the 60 and 90 should be easy enough to come across. Other favorites for me are Anchor Steam's Christmas Ale (a nice winter warmer), Big Foot, good RICH porters - burbon porters are even better . . . Hell, I just like good beer! - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  6. My experience in IT and dealing with a major provider of managed hosting services which is also a data/voice carrier tells me exactly the opposite. Bandwidth is the commodity item while disk space is something that most will charge a premium for. That could be done with a file locker, depot, call it what you will . . . On the other hand, you could always use a different email account when sending attachments (Gmail allows SMTP access to their servers - and POP, too, for that matter), or post the attachment to a personal webpage and send a link. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. 8. It's freedom that allows the Christian group to make their request and freedom that allows the charity to follow their own course of action. Really sucks, doesn't it? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

An honest question - in your scenario what impact do the rotting carcuses have on the environment? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  13. Your contempt and disrespect towards the police pollute any reasonable argument you might make. You should stop while you're behind. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  14. Good point. Can't stress this one enough. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  15. If you're going to criticize then put yourself in the shoes of the officer. Is age important when someone is trying to kill you? Let's drop the whole "But he was only 13" thing, it's an emotional response and has no real bearing on the issue at hand. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

  20. 1. Relax. Before you exit take a deep breath, look at your instructor and smile. It seems silly, and at your stage of them maybe even difficult, but it helps. 2. It's already been mentioned, but practice. Whether it's skydiving or a firedrill in school, repetition is a very powerful tool. 3. Visualize the perfect skydive. Close your eyes and imagine the perfect skydive. It won't come right away, keep doing it until it does. Someone once said this to me: "Can you move your arms and legs? Great! Then you can skydive!" Think about it.
  21. Let's focus on what I assume the cops knew at the time. 1. Someone capable of driving stole a car. 2. Someone capable of driving ran from the police. 3. Someone capable of driving tried to escape from being contained - by using a car as a weapon. People seem to be focusing on the perps age (13) but not on the acts. How many people would have a problem with this if it were an 18 year old in the drivers seat? How were the cops to know? It's not as though they had the opportunity to stop the kid and identify him. Right? Of course none of that matters now. Whatever his age he did try to turn the car into a weapon and for that he lost his life. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. I know many who would disagree with this statement, myself included. Perhaps not, but many do make use of the pelts. One thing is clear to me, that you have a bias against hunting (whether it's founded based on logic or emotion is irrelevant at this point) and there's absolutely nothing that will change your mind. With that, I'm done. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Hardly (though I assume you knew that) - but what's the harm in hunting for their own meat as opposed to buying it at the grocery store? Someone is going to kill something, do feel better having the slaughter house t do it for you? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

I'd like you to tell that to many of my friends who do, in fact, hunt for food. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  25. Agreed that it's not a one direction effort, however it does seem to be the one that gets the most press. Is this simply poor marketing by those exploring alternatives to hydrogen? Regardless, since hydrogen is getting all of the press these days how much money will be thrown at it when in fact it's likely a better investment to fund other avenues. Have you looked at solar? It is amazingly expensive. Of course it's likely, like every other technology, to become more efficient and drop in price. This is where --I'd-- like to see the money spent. While I'm not an expert, this seems like the most reasonable direction for us today. Sounds neat, but like hydrogen, does this have a future? Can it be rolled out the masses? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
