  1. What if he were? So what? There's nothing in the Bill of Rights that says "Thou Shalt not be Offended". - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  2. I'm curious (and off to Google to find out), how does this thing actually work? I'm going to assume that each cable carrier broadcasts Fox on a different frequency. Interesting . . . - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  3. Everyone should consult Teri Schiavo's Blog for some real insight into what's going on right now. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  4. Amen. I have a friend who's alive today (or at the minimum able to walk) because of a good PLF. PLF: Learn it, practice it, love it. It'll save your skin one of these days. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  5. I don't. Why do you? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  6. By whose standard? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  7. Cars aren't necessary and they're certainly dangerous. Electricity isn't necessary, high-voltage current absolutely isn't necessary. Oil? Gas? Neither is necessary, technology exists that would allow us to live without either. You've decided that everything listed above is necessary for you to be to comfortable in your day to day existance. Bet you'd be pretty pissed if someone came along and tried to take them from you, huh? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  8. Wow. There's an insult if ever there was one. Nice job, Bill. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  9. Exactly what I was thinking. I've had the 'Cartman gets an anal probe' episode of South Park running through my head since I saw this! - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  10. Here's what Google knows about Joel Myrick. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  11. You're kind of missing the point. Your view is tainted, and that's to be expected and even OK. I think what was meant was "without hearing the other side of the story from the other side . . . ." - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  12. Let's put the seriousness aside for a moment - that's FUNNY! - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  13. I don't think that it is. The number of people I know who drink far outnumber those who smoke marijuana. I seem to recall that when we talk about school boards that you're fond of reminding us that we voted them into office and that we can vote out. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. 14. I wonder if that would be the prevailing feeling if marijuana use were as widespread as alcohol. I really have no idea as to the answer but I'd be interested in getting the info. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  15. If you're going to compare getting "black-out drunk on a regular basis" to "smoking a little marijuana" then things will always come out in favor of the 'alcohol is far more dangerous than marijuana' argument. If, however, you're after a fair comparison, you should be comparing getting black-out drunk on a regular basis to getting black-out stoned on a regular basis. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. 16. Yes, it is. But I think that the real question is 'Protect and Serve who or what?'. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  17. Yet another personal attack deleted. Wow. I think I owe beer. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  18. Prof, I asked a simple, and more importantly, a direct question. I expected a direct answer. I know I shouldn't have, but I did. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  19. Kallend said: Using one's brain is better protection than any gun. And then said this in another forum: When you need one, you need it, regardless of what you may have thought ahead of time. (he's talking about a Cypres) Professor, what exactly is your stance on the populace being allowed to carry weapons, specifically firearms? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. 20. Which may not be a bad thing, but that's another thread. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  21. She's brain dead. How much her, how much of her spirit is left? It's not our blood and guts that make us who we are, it's what's upstairs. In Teri's case there's nothing left. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  22. Actually, yes in this case. The DEA agent(s) was/is trained, but failed to handle the weapon safely. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  23. > I was skeered. Been there. Done that. Don't like it one bit! - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  24. It's only 'scalping' (and therefore illegal) if it's done the day of the event, and possibly even on the property. Otherwise it's simply capitalism at work. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  25. I disagree. We have the technology today to determine that NOTHING is going on in her mind. I can understand her parent's want to keep her 'alive', but brain dead and living off of machines isn't alive, at least it's not to me. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends.
