  1. As an FYI the site is back online. I will also be working on some upgrades to the site over the next few weeks as life allows so it should look and work better soon. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
  2. https://www.apnews.com/ebe9f147ebcd44589749a6359dc2e462/US-company-turned-blind-eye-to-wild-behavior-on-Iraq-base?utm_campaign=SocialFlow&utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=AP Facilitating read about a US company that was paid 770 million to run operations at a US base in Iraq but basically was running two sets of books - one that they would turn in and one that they kept that detailed the real activities. Activities that included smuggling alcohol on transport planes to the amount that planes were in danger of tipping over on the tarmac until unloaded, suspicion of bringing 4 women on base just for prostitution activities under the guises of being cleaners, allowing militia free and unrestricted access to the US bases, permitting non-cleared vehicles access to the flight line while in contact with US fighter jets, and having multiple pieces of US owned assets to be stolen on flatbed trucks out of of the base. Auditors were told to look the other way and were eventually fired due to their investigating. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
  3. Issue I am finding with BasicMed is that many Dr's are being told that their Malpractice insurance will not cover them if they sign off on a BasicMed certificate so many of them are flat out refusing to do it. I am in the process of getting a Class 3 again and was looking to go the BasicMed route but my PCP and a second Dr that I called both refused to even consider it and both told me to call the AME for me area. 4. FYI you can have convictions for multiple drug offenses and have a long list of DUI arrests and the FAA will issue you a riggers certificate. I know someone that has multiple arrests and had license suspensions for DUI's prior to getting his ticket and the FAA did not seem to have an issue with it. 5. Thanks for the feedback,I will be putting in some time in May to get this up and working again. It might be a slower link but more sustainable with some ideas I am working with right now. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
  6. Total hosting space is around a gig but the issue was I was using a management system that was database driven to do lots of the back end work and those they do not host for free. I had looked at traffic and in January about the only ones hitting the site were Chinese bots, I will start looking for a new home for it soon again. 7. I am currently looking for a new hosting location for it. I was being billed $200 a year (hosting company kept raising my rates every year) and had paid out over $1000 to keep the site up at this point. Once I find a new location for it I'll let everyone know. I have all the files backed up for the most part. It might be on a new address but I'll work on it again once I have some time in the next week or two. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
  8. They had previously announced one in Cincinnati also: http://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2017/03/21/exclusive-huge-indoor-skydiving-attraction-coming.html The Cinci one is a re-purposed grocery store from its location. The Dublin one is an empty lot right now. It will be interesting to see how they get around the iFly Patent issues since the ISG design is eliminated from usage here in the states for about 6 more years due to that issue. Their photos look like they are going to be building Tornado tunnel designs. Those are 8.2 feet designs. It looks like a similar concept of a trampoline park and tunnel is already up and running in Norway: http://www.megafun.no/vindtunell/ Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

  10. If you are wanting to flip the lever so it pushes to the right instead of to the left the only way to change it is to remove the little pin through the arm and then push it back in after flipping the lever. The issue is they use a press to put the pin in so it does not just fall out. I have not been able to figure out how to flip the handle on mine either. I now use them for ground photography only so its not an issue anymore. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Everything is relative. A lady in my church, not 65 yet, has to pay almost $500/mo and has very high copays for her health care. But, she will die soon so it all balances economically. Not 65 yet, but you say she's going to die soon? Of what? Women can easily live another 25-30 years from age 65 with good health. If she is paying $500 a month for a marketplace plan then she either has selected a Silver or Gold plan and is making more than 4 times the federal poverty level ($11,770) aka at least 50k per year. I just ran the numbers and via a marketplace plan a single female at age 60 making $47000 a year qualifies for a $229 credit per month. Plan options include: $432 a month for a $3500 deduct able with Max out of Pocket at $7100. Dr Copays are $30. If max out of pocket is met her total deductions for the year will result in almost no federal income tax being paid. $438 with a $6500 deduct able and max out of pocket of $7100. Co pays are $35 but lower ER copays. Once again if max out of pocket is met her federal tax liability will be nearly 0 so she would get a large refund back. If her income level was double that at 90,000 her costs go up about $230 a month. Under the recently failed Trumpcare her premiums were expected to start at 800 a month and potentially go to 1100 a month since it removed the multiplier on the difference between the lowest risk group (young healthy 20 somethings) and the more expensive groups (older 60+). Right now there was a cap in place that basically raised the prices on the young enrolled to allow the older participants prices to be lowered. That cap was going to be eliminated so that the young persons price would drop and the older persons would rise. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
  13. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-airlines-electronics-idUSKBN16S11Q This shit makes no sense. You have to check a tablet and the laptop as checked baggage now if you are flying in from these locations directly but if you do a layover at any other airport you are allowed to bring them in the cabin still as a carry on. Most airlines have started phasing out in flight entertainment systems with TV's and now have gone to streaming systems since over 90% of the traveling public carries devices onboard that they prefer to use to watch their own content on. http://money.cnn.com/2017/01/25/technology/american-dropping-screens-from-boeing-737-max/ Just what I want to do on a 15 hour flight - stare at my phone to try and watch a movie or try to do all my work spreadsheets.... 14. I gave up on using Kodi for the most part since a lot of the "free"content keeps getting taken off line. I instead just use PSVue to get TV. $29 a month for 50 channels, DVR and everything on a few TV's. Its not worth the effort to constantly be re flashing the stick with new updates all the time and updating apps to watch a show. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

  16. Are you referring to the ability to take a deduction in the amount that it cost you for tax preparation? If so its subject to 2% of AGI Limit. If you can take advantage of this you either have lower income and therefor might hit the numbers but odds are you will not since a 1040ez can be filed for free and its rare to find lower income earners not needing a 1040ez. Other end is the earners that make a few hundred thousand dollars to millions and have an accountant on retainer to do all their tax advisement and preparation all year long and can justify paying 30k for this service since they will save hundreds of thousands in potential tax liability. If you want to change it so that no one is eligible for a refund unless they do their taxes on their own without using any software or a paid service that is a separate issue. 17. It looks like one of the topics that has been getting buried a lot right now is the Supreme Court nomination. The pre-hearings have been occurring for the last 3 weeks and is scheduled to go before the Senate on March 20th for the first round of public hearings. Notice how little press this has gotten on any area? Distract and cause chaos in one area so that people do not see what else is going on elsewhere. 20. I have been reading a lot of stories about how Republican leadership has been telling their members to avoid having open meetings that they can not control 100% because of the had times that they are facing in town hall style meetings. A few Reps have asked for police presence or escort in and out of the meetings because of how "hostile" the meetings are. I just saw a new one tonight - schedule a meeting and then never show up at all. Pat Tiberi Rep of the 12th district Ohio had one scheduled and never showed and neither did any of his staff. No answers other then a Facebook post congratulating himself on attending all day meetings. Its no wonder that the leadership is telling everyone to cancel the meetings if they keep doing this to the people that they represent. Standing room only with a crowd outside and the Rep was MIA... that's not going to help win him any votes but he really doesn't care since its been a GOP seat for 102 out of the last 108 years. 24. I have unlimited paid vacation time at work. I also have weekends off so if I wanted to I could go to as many of these events as I wanted to for any cause. I seem to recall the Tea Party had multiple protests in DC and many large cities around the country during the heart of Glen Becks calls for a million people to attend the rallies.
