okay you guys, fill in the yanks here! what the hell is a huffer moose? i have an idea but just want confirmation. this isn't a type of 4 leged animal is it now?

love parachutes? well maybe. as long as mine works fine, lands me softly with a nice swoop and doesn't snivel to much! if the love starts to fade i just cut em away and go for my seldome used backup. i like to call her "reserve" she's always good to me since i don't take her out much and play with her. i always try to stay in her good graces. you don't want to be in my shoes when reserve gets mad at me. she like to do nasty things to me that make me fear for my life! she's my best parachute, i treat her right the way she should be treated.......a repack every 6 months and as few jumps as i can put on her. so far i've been kind and haven't had to jump her yet, but the day will come that i'll have the urge to cutaway my first love and just jump the hell outa her......what do they call this phase in life?...midlife crisis, no that's not it i'm only 20 and it better not be midlife yet!...ahhh i think i know what it's called.......crw training......... :-)

mountainman, the whole dropzone.com boogie has been debated before too! never have got an answer back from sangiro ( i guess we should e-mail him directly though) on if it's okay to use the dz.com name.... for now we're resorting to inpromptu boogies around the world. the unofficial european dz.com boogie is set for june 1-3 at Texel island in the netherlands. there are also quite a few jumpers down at css right now jumping at a boogie there for the easter weekend. since we are all spread over the world we see who we can. i pesonally get to see alot (of the world not jumpers) since i'm stationed over here in germany. i get to go to see the europe crowd and this summer i'll get to see some of the east coast crowd and if everything works out some of the west coast crowd later on in august..... it's just that ya got to travel! and this sport doesn't have so many people in it that all ya have to do is stay in it long enough and you'll meet alot of people and other people that know people you've met. skydiving really is a small world! just think there is only 30,000 some uspa members with 250 million people in the us. that's a very small ratio! other countries (yup i didn't forget about the rest oif the world) have about the same ratio maybe smaller, it's very likely you'll meet us someday!

if they're airworthy drop me an e-mail......now i'd have to learn to pack em though.........might take some work talking to my rigger on that one!

way to go. wish i could say it only took me 7 jumps to complete my training, damn static line progresion took me 18 jumps and 1 year! it only gets better from now on! just wait untill you get to do some funky kinda jumps and soon you'll love it when that door opens. it means in a few seconds you'll be through it and into the wonderfull blue sky! one of the things i love is when the door comes open! i look out and think man i'm getting to leave this plane and do some really cool sh!t. have fun on the hop n pop! they can be fun as hell, i never found them scary cuz my first jump was from 3,500. but after the first one they rock. with a little more altitude a 5-15 second delay can be lots of fun! (look back in the archives for a thread between me and fff on hop n pops). also cool that your fam. came out to watch! hopefully i'll drag my parents out to watch me jump this summer when i go back home!

derek, being in the military i've seen many diffrent kinds of people from all over. for somereason the gals here seem to be just like what your discribing. alot more forward. i've heard some of the best dirty jokes from females here that iwould never tell in front of em. it's just the kind of person they are and have to be taken for that. if other people want to see it diffrently then let them. who cares! opinions from close minded people don't count in my book!

kewl, gald to hear your finnally in the air! just watch out for the wondering camels in the landing zone! they might look fun to swoop but it's not advisable, i hear they will spit on ya if swooped at a high rate of speed. now an acuracy landing on the back of one betwwen the humps is worth a case of gold star though!

i'll survive! and maybe base jumping isn't the answer but there sure are alot of nice tall bridges here....now if i only had the traing.....my reserve does need a repack though...and yup they'll be back soon enough.......if i could only be out jumping i wouldn't miss em at all......

shark, glad to hear ya had a great time. i alsmost got to do a night jump last year. was all geared up when the plane cam back to the airport loaded. first load landed way off due to crazy uppers. oh well maybe later this year.....giving up day skydives? well i guess that might be a good idea but when ya going to drink if your skydiving all night............oh wait i forgot, it's just fine to start drinking at 8am!

venwood, i know what ya mean! i've made many a ride out to the dz on my motorcycle. do you try and help the bike turn by dipping a shoulder? i sometimes put my feet off the pegs and arch. it's a little crazy but it's fun.....man that's whay i have a motorcycle, it's like freefall, but sideways skimming the ground.
