    Head down

I had a wierd progression i started of with my head up and tracking skills for a good 800 jumps odd and i just couldnt nail hed down so i didnt keep practising at it and then one day it just clicked and my progression went throughz the roof. different strokes for different folks but i still think head down flying isnt what freeflying is all about. there is nothing like doing a really nice tight head up carve or flying with some dudes who are head down and moving a fair bit and just side slide your way over there, andthen theres all the different angles u can track at high speed and steep or flat and fast its all good . ooops waffling on a bit . cya mooose

  4. Hey every body burns belly flying. but i look at it as another form of freeflying. on your belly on ur back autmonati head down head up. Its all good ! so learn it all much more fun that way. just my 10 cents

    fall rate

just a thought i found that i fly fast in head down but can outfloat most people in head up flying. but the fact remains that the other people should all fly head level so if you are maxed out in head down then the other fliers should fly a little faster. i personnally prefer a fast head down as you can just hang of your legs and let your arms do what they want to do instead of maxing out leaving you with not much room for manoueverability. plus if you are going faster you become more efficient and faster getting where you want to be just make sure you can control it. just my 10 cents cya Allan

either way it's all good. its all different strokes for different folks. you go in there with a chilled out way of doing things ur going to have fun and learn lots. regarding coaches go there and talk to them u'll see for yourself who would be good for you. I know u want to go there and get value for money and yeh sure you will but you'll learn a lot more than just the flying, there's a philosaphy the guys have which will help your flying to. try it out what's the worst thing that can happen ?? tromantana winds! my 10 cents cya moose man
  7. Okeedokee what i was trying to explain was that if they are flying slow instead of backflying you could always try belly flying with them its still flying just another acces just pull your arms in tight and bend like a banana and you can stay with them, you just might find it easier thats all. and regarding backflying think of it like back flying you want to go slow de arch (or arch and force your legs and arms down) forwards stretch your legs out and pull your arms in backwards bend ze legs and stretch the arms turn points if you wish just think of it as belly flying and transpose those movements to on your back then voila there you have it I hope i have explained this well enough gotta fly moose man
  8. try this give yourself a bit of distance from who you are jumping with go on to your bellly bring your arms right in and bend your body like a banana its still freeflying just another access really give it a go just try not to cork them otherwise the chicks are going to get pissed off and you dont want that do u
  9. trigger! the answer to your question is twice as long as half its size cya All
  10. I persohnnally reckon that if you take it steep you cover more horzontal distance I.E take it reral steep and fast then flatten ity out. this means you go rockerting ahead . just my opinion cya moose

Hi everyone well i live in empuria and know the boys quite well. Regarding the coaching with them it´s the best money i have ever spent and i try to get coaching when i can. they not only teach the freeflying but also a really good philosiphy about the sport. which i think is half of it, regarding the coaches all of them are very good and to be honest if you really want to label how good they are then somethings wrong, as long as the vibes are between the coach and the student then thats all you need. Also the coaching isn´t that expensive all your paying for is your jump ticket their jump ticket a bit extra ( not sure these days about 17 / 18 euros) but that gets you the briefing on the ground before hand the video the after jump briefing, and they are always there for advice there is free load organizing and they will point you in the right direction of who to jump with so as you can both learn a lot from each jump all in all a great bunch of freakssssssssss!! have fun and if you ever get to empuria ask for allan and i´ll come fun jumping ta ta for know Allan
  12. Try having a look at sonic freefly gear its very cool made by flyers just starting off so the price is cool and the quality is good give it a go cya Allan
  13. OK well I jump here reguraly they did 120,000 jumps this year. And from one guy who died called me a pussy for not going head down with bhim and hje died in a mid air collision. I have to admit somepeople have toi be regulated so as they can licve lonbger and I think the babylon boys are doing a great job about. remember to use the rules as a tool and not a hinderance Cya Allan
  14. all the quotes in here are very good but the one bit of advice that really has stuck in my mind is awareness of the people you are jumping with and also their abilities. things change in a jump and sometimes you have to work that into your plan. cya Allan
  15. I live and freefly in empuria my suggestion is to drop them a line on the email it´s not to hard and you will find them really helpfull. "advice from the horses mouth would be the best description." there email is babylon-freefly.com ask them cya Allan Quote
