well i didn't grup in the "sticks" but i was out in the country a little bit....when i went to basic training for the air force the training instuctors would sometimes read of the senders adress when they handed (more like tried to peg us in the head) us our mail. there were some that didn't even have a street name just a rual rout number. now that's out there!!!!! skreamer, did ya see the video of the poor guy trying to kill some of his sheep. he couldn't aim worht shit and was out in his field trying to shoot the sheep. he grazed one and then finally ran it down and shot it point blank to kill it. i saw it on sky news or bbc i can't rmember. they talked about how the animal rights peole were going to have a hay day about this cruelty. it seemed to be a big story a few weeks ago. any others from the u.k. see this story on the news? i only got 30 poor sheep in that game....my computer is sooooo slooooowwwww...... the pointer wouldn't keep up with my mouse. okay ya wanted to know what we think so here's my $.02. i'm not an expert photographer myself but i like to dabble in it a little.so here's my take. the picuter is well composed. the swooper dramaticly grabs your attention at first with the nice mountains in the background compementing him. the only thing i see is that the shadows (on the swooper himself) detract from the overall quality a litle....over all very good. wish i had some cool skydiving pick like that....just never brought my camera to the dz since i got to germany.....maybe i should start........good luck on the contest hope ya get a blue ribbon, but if ya don't ya better at least get some BLUE SKIES!!!!!! p.s. i like like the fish eye effect it adds alot to the picture! i've got the tent covered, and my car will fit a "few" cases of beer and other "beverages" in it. i was thinking about getting a rental car for the ride up but theni relized that's like 5 jt's and so i will be driving my beat up old bmw...it works but just isn't the prettiest thing.......by the way...benw, fill us in on the cost of the ferry ride.....hopefully it's not too much.... now a question...if ridding on a ferry is like driving your car across water then flying on british airways with your rig is like skydiving....okay that was suppoed to be funny but i guess not....i need more work on my humor........ hey all we got us a boogie going on next month. (may 25th to the 27th) everyone is invited!!!!!! don't expect more than the europeans though! it's at the dz on TEXEL ISLAND in the netherlands (that's holland for ya that don't where know the netherlands are). so far it's me, skreamer, benw, and huffermoose that are planning on attending. any one else want to come? it should be a great time, i don't think the netherlands will be the same afterward! benw, skreamer, huffermoose, what's the plan? i know benw will already be up that way. skreamer, moose, you two are planing on flying in to hahn on the 24th in the evening? i can pick you both up and we could go hit up the pubs. well, i always wanted to go skydiving so i finnally talked my mom into letting me when i was 17. she signed a consent form and all and i was all set to go when my friend that was supposed to drive backed out (he later did a tandem). i had lost my driver license and couldn't drive so i talked my twin sister into driving me up to the dz (we just penciled her name into the waiver since all her info is the same as mine) and she did 2 static line jumps with me. i think once she gets done with college and gets a job i'll get her back to do aff. plus the rig i'm putting together now would be perfect for her weight as a novice (just off student status) so i know i'll see my sis back in the air.....now i just need to corupt her more so she'll fit in better....... dutchboy, we jump a c206 here in germany to. the cloth door your talking about is quite cold! i think the best seat is next to the lilot or right be hind him. you have the other jumpers to block the cold. the exit is prety simple, you can do it just like you would from a c182. or like i like to do it...justdive out with one foot on the step. and for the seat belts.....i think it is still req. by regs. here in europe, just not stickly enforced. we never use em at my dz even though they are req....... it's going to be wierd to go back to the states and have to put on one when i've been jumping without for a year. but i guess it's a good idea.... boogies tend to draw people from alot of diffrent dz's depending on how big they are...the3 bigger they are the crazier they are compared to a regular weekend. think a regular dz sees maybe 75 jumpers over a weekend, now ya got a boogie with 300. more people make for a bigger headache. plus i think an attitude at aboogie is a little difrent than a normal juming weekend.
