Whats your Name and what do you do for a living?

Recommended Posts

Figured since everyone else had posted here, I had to finally stop lurking.

A small groups going to Hooters in Downer's tonight - could you make it?

I'm determined to make WFFC, just not sure how yet. I'll prob still be out of work tho.

Sure u could run as far as u want, any one here can do anything they put their mind to.

There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear.

I am Grant I am slave to a first officer on a Helicopter , I check it before flight, I program the Nav aids, read the maps, talk on the radios, tell the pilot where to go, do all the flight planning and oh yeah if the pilot drops dead am cleared to fly it too, as long as his velcro hands can get of the controls.

I'm Dave Terrick. I'm a self employed mutual fund/insurance salesman. Since September 11, 2001 though, my heart has not been in the profession. Could be that the recession and peoples' skepticism of all things financial have gotten to me ... or it could be that I did my first jump on September 1st 2001 and haven't seen life in the same way since.

Anybody got a position and a Green card for a 30-something with a few grey hairs, a CFP and a B.Comm that pays enough that I can buy some new gear?

Ok time to add my name to the NEVER ENDING THREAD..... I went back and read all of them in it from July 2001 onward.

My name is Jeanne. I work for a LARGE computer software company near Seattle... any guesses???? I see there are lots of fellow IT geeks on DZ.com.
My title says Operations Analyst on the Systems Administration team. In other words we find ways to make things work when the latest greatest software build makes stuff not work. I started jumping in 1975 and quit in late 1981. I work with way too many people half my age who live on beer and pizza ( part of my wide backend problem) and quite a few of them are into adventure sports (snowboarding, climbing, motorcyles etc) and I just had to bring up better adrenaline rushes.....ie skydiving. SO I have started again . I can afford good equipment this time, New rig (Infinity) ,new reserve( Thanks LISA) New everything but main canopy( I have not settled on what I want or how big yet) When I was jumping way back when it was always old used gear and never had enough money for all the jumps I wanted to do ( military pay sucked). Now I just have to find the time off to jump and the weather to do it in.... ( Seattle is a hard place to find blue skies from Oct to May.)
