Oh btw, looking at your vid, maybe invest in a canon XL-somthin for the "Groundwork" at least. The aerials could use some sync to the music too. Also include some base perhaps? And PAY a good editor

Skydiving videos need to be extraordinary to affect skydivers. My friend's 8 year old son is completely unaffected by skydiving. Normal kids see skydiving and get excited. His son looked at them straight in the face and said, "yeah, my dad does that..."

The video was ok. I was happy to see the otter at 7min15sec for the first time. I liked the trapeze work... more trapeze work less other stuff. It would have been better to focus on the girls threesome more. Sometimes I was uncertain where the story was going....

Slow motion as an editing technique is over-rated and over used.

ok I could only stomach the first 2 minutes of it.
I expected like a full production, but my first year of filming and editing was better than what I saw in that.

the whole "looking for an otter" bit made me angry that i had to sit through that to get to the rest...so I didn't.

I will try to watch it again later. no promises.

I thought it was unique, and I would probably buy something like it only because it is unique. As others have said more rudely, though, the editing is not as good as it ought to be. Lots of vidiots are very good at editing, and the expectation among skydivers is for a very high level of editing on the vids we buy.

Anyway, thanks for posting it. I enjoyed watching.

As an aside, is there any way to download the actual files from skydivingmovies.com so that they can be watched from a local disk? It was frustrating that sometimes the buffer would run out.

Nowhere did I say this vid had sex in it. And when I am talking about "filming style" I am talking about the reality aspect of it. This was a free vid shot for a free site for free....big difference there.

Of course the skydiving is going to be on a different level (the majority of people in these jumps are sub 200 jump level...not so with the movie this summer).

My husband edited this project on his laptop during down times on set. The movie this summer will be edited on AVID.

I wasn't expecting people to actually think that the movie this summer was going to be exactly like this...just get a vibe from it.


If you were expecting to see sex and were dissappointed when you didn't, sorry if you felt your time was wasted

I think it is funny that people who already bagged the idea and said they would never watch it in another thread, were the first to watch and "comment" on this vid. HHHmmmm.... what could their intentions have been going in to it? You know what and who I mean.

You can right click where you click "download" and go to "save target as..." and save the file. That's what I do for videos so I can skip around and stuff and not wait for it to load and shit.
