  1. I did a search but nothing came up so forgive me if this has been discussed. Not to copy all of the newspapers and political shows in asking this question but I will. McCain said this... "I'll get Osama bin Laden, my friends. I'll get him. I know how to get him. I'll get him no matter what and I know how to do it." If he knows how to do it why hasn't he told us? I am genuinely curious. Please, someone that knows more about it than me enlighten me..
  2. Because we all know that if it's on the internet it must be true..
  3. There really is no sense arguing with this kind of profound thought.
  4. It didn't change my mind at all and I found it completely dismissive when Mccain said to the gentleman.. and I paraphrase: " I doubt that you have even heard of Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac until now. "
  5. As a mother of two children who have asthma and have spent literally hours in the emergency room-- preventive care is a must. Luckily at the time when I was married to my ex husband (a Navy officer) I could take my kids to the doctor anytime. If their butts itched we could go to the doctor ten times a day if we felt like it but really not a lot of people can do that. Being able to see dr's regularly instead of waiting till your child is grasping for breath and being rushed to the ER as the only option is just downright wrong. Asthma can be manageable with preventive healthcare and maintenance. Many people don't have the insurance to be able to take advantage of this and their only option is a trip to the ER. So, speaking from experience, Obama gets my vote on this. And you using his whole name as in trying to reference Saddam Hussein immediately takes anything meaningful out of your post.
  6. Wow... are you really serious? And those of the Christian faith... blow up women's clinics? Murder doctors? Start wars, etc. etc. all in the name of Christ? How can you associate with anyone in this world actually if you are going to alienate yourself from everyone belonging to any religion out there who has committed an atrocity? You probably want to lock yourself in the basement with some canned goods and flashlights and never come out again just to be safe.
  7. Hey there, Hans just went to bed..LOL And our baby is sleeping peacefully in her crib and not out and about at political debates so late in the evening being held by her mother for the first time today. (sorry... I'm being a smartass...) We are doing absolutely wonderful. Our new baby girl is the cutest ever though Papa Hans has only changed her diaper five times since she's been born. We're actually getting ready to move back to my hometown of Pensacola. Hans can work out of his home office and we want to be near family. How are you and your little ones???
  8. edit because my husband was logged in under my name when responding. Please see Jraf's response to yours..
  9. Nice language. The word's use is considered obscene in polite circles, but may be common in informal and domestic situations. It is unclear whether the word has always been considered vulgar, and if not, when it first came to be used to describe (often in an extremely angry, hostile or belligerent manner) unpleasant circumstances or people in an intentionally offensive way, such as in the term motherfucker, one of its more common usages in some parts of the English-speaking world
  10. I just don't get it. I really don't. Mccain picked Palin not because he wanted to put "Country First" but because he wanted to get elected. He took a gamble but he is willing to gamble on all of us by picking her. It's not like he's 60 years old and in stellar health and HONESTLY... how many of you really believe in your heart of hearts that she is capable of running the United States of America? Seriously??? It was and is a completely irresponsible impulsive choice that he made. I'm not saying that she isn't a good woman who can't take care of Alaska () but she doesn't represent me (also a mother of five) and the thought of her running the country is downright scary. With that said, the expectations of her are so low that if she speaks one coherent sentence then she will get rave reviews.
  11. I was just wondering about this orginization myself. There is an opportunity to send both of my daughters to Japan. I'm going to the meeting to just check it out..
  12. I didn't have one from the last pregnancy but I did post one in the women's forum when i was about 5 months along with this pregnancy. It was a cell phone pic too so I don't think it's mine you're thinking of. Maybe Conundrum or Windcatcher? I'm not sure... Thanks for the congrats.
  13. You might want to look into a Montessori type preschool setting. http://www.caca.essortment.com/whatismontesso_rvaj.htm Also, as others have said, it wouldn't hurt to mention to your pediatrician what the teacher has said just so he can be evaluated if needed. I'm a parent too and think preschools can be beneficial. Usually they are only a couple of days a week for half days from 9-12. It can give a parent a much needed break while the child gets to interact with other children and have fun. I've always been a stay at home mom but to say that a child needs to spend 24 hours a day only with the parents is just crazy talk. I
  14. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/tachycardia/DS00929 Take him to the hospital or at the very least one of those walk-in type clinics just to be sure.
  15. http://www.baldwinparkfl.com/web/community.asp I'm wondering if this is the same type of community? We're possibly looking to buy here because it seems to really offer everything. The benefit of living in a suburban type neighborhood with the convenience of walking to grocery stores, shops, restaurants, etc.
