  1. It's all wrong. The American Red Cross has changed the breath to compression ratio. And the rescuer never even checked for a pulse before starting compressions. I had to watch it a few times before I noticed the errors.... Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  2. When I read this, I laughed out loud so loudly that some of my co-workers came into my office and asked me if I was okay!!! Reminds me of this from Austin Powers. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  3. Good Luck and have fun, Shah. Glad to hear that you're getting back up in the air! Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  4. He was probably thinking "HOLY FUCK" which is the same thing the guy on the video said and the same thing i was thinking as his PC finally popped open. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  5. Holy Hamburgers, Batman! 160 cattle! I had to read that a few times to make sure I didn't mis-read it. I would have never thought it was possible to get that many one a single truck. Good news though, 70 expected to pull through. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  6. And there has to be some cool pics posted too!! Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  7. Here we go again. Doesn't matter what you say in the interview, only matters what is in the policy. If there is an exclusion for jumping it won't pay if you go in. The only reason they ask that question is to determine whether you would like rated coverage for that activity. Yeah, that's why I said to read the entire policy for exclusions. So, it does matter what you put on the application. If there is no exclusion for skydiving, and you don't jump, no rate-up and you're covered. Different if there's an exclusion. No rate-up but you won't be covered either. Depends on the company and they all have different rules. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  8. What kind of insuracne was it? Term or whole life? Don't think a term policy will let you but some whole life may let you reinstate if the cancellation was fairly recent. You may have to pay the missed premiums. Might be worth looking into and premium will be cheaper in the long run. Your jump numbers have been at 7 for quite some time so nothing has changed as far as your participation in "hazardous sports" goes. Assuming you are able to reinstate the policy, when they ask you about hazardous professions or past times, you can say, "No, I don't skydive." Same thing if you just go out and find a new policy. Applications don't typically ask if you intend to participate but whether you do or not at the time of application. Shady? Maybe a little but if you take the application very literally, you can honestly answer "No." Read the entire policy for exclusions. Most I've seen have a two-year period where the provider can call BS and cancel the policy but that's usually just a suicide clause so someone doesn't get a million dollar policy and then off himself in 6 months. 9. Has anyone ever tested this? I had a friend with a SF HALO team back in the late 80s who said that a guy on his team took his wife's cat along on a jump. Flew on his back after exit and unzipped his jumpsuit to let the cat out. As soon as he did, the cat freaked and started clawing all over his face so he threw it and was never able to regain a hold of it. He says it did get stable belly down and remained that way all the way down. Don't know if it was a BS story but it was funny the way he told it. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  10. I had a friend at work with the same problem. The solution was very simple. Try wearing a tin foil hat when you're on the phone. It will act as a shield and protect the phone from the electromagnetic field generated by your enormous cranium. He found it more effective if he was in crowded public places with a lot of people around to absorb the excess energy that escaped the foil headgear. That or you can try this. 11. I'm taking it right after working out. Well, within an hour of working out is the window I'm using. Usually it's right after unless running a bit late for work. Supposed to speed recovery up and provide some building material for post-work out. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  12. I don't either. Not much different than any other day for me. It's so nice out that I wish I could go for a run right now. Or even better, go and jump all day! Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  13. Nice video with a few pull signals at the end there and a bridle around the arm. Yeah, do it just like that and enjoy the hell out of it. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

    Skyjumping??

It would have to go faster so you could turn points better. If I was in Vegas and the line wasn't too long, I'd do it. The biggest rush of skydiving for me is exiting the plane so I imagine the feeling is the same off this thing. It's probably a lot of fun. I'll bet they'd let me wear the ContourHD I just got that I won't skydive with for another year. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

    Skyjumping??

40 mph according to this. Description is at the bottom. Not very fast. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  16. There are so many variations of US currency out now that it's hard to tell which is the most current. Someone could make a fake bill and tell people it's the latest and greatest when spending it. I was getting a drink at a gas station last week and they wouldn't accept a $10 bill because it didn't have the watermark on it. Even after I pointed out that the bill was printed in 1977 and the bills didn't carry the watermark then, the lady wouldn't accept it insisting that it had to have the watermark. I'm pretty sure she wasn't even in this country in 1977. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  17. So, who knows the guy? He's a base jumper. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  18. A size 22 woman, an "elyptical style" canopy rated for 160 lbs, 20th anniversary. I smell foul play here. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  19. What are you shooting now? Sometimes helps to stay with the brand you currently use because the menus are usually very similar. That aside, I have a Nikon Coolpix S630 for my point and shoot and think it's a great camera. I haven't found anything that it doesn't do well with for a P&S. Posted some vacation pics from it on facebook and someone made a comment that it looked like I had been shooting with my dSLR. Never did respond back that pics were from the S630. Link here is to Amazon but it's being sold through Adorama for about $100 cheaper than it was at Best Buy last summer when I bought it. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  20. I wonder if there will be a big run on Wii systems and food processors. Only the folks who have read this article will know what's really going on. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  21. Are you planning to ride the mechanical bull or the pole? Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  22. Mountain Gear is another good site. They have a lot on sale now too. edited to fix my clicky Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  23. Had mine done in 2002 and am thankful just about everyday for it. I wore semi-rigid contacts and had to be out of them for 6 weeks prior to my eval and surgery. Would you really want to take the chance that it'll affect your eyes for one day in contacts? Ask your doc and see what he says. If it's that important, put the surgery off so you can wear contacts for the wedding. What's another week delay unless it's real hard to get an appointment. 24. I took these at Grand Teton National Park back in 2007. Mormon Row Grand Teton National Park Second one is not as sharp as it should be but it was about 6 in the morning and about 35 degrees out. I was freezing my butt off and had been shooting for about an hour at this point. I have one other favorite I took at Cannon Beach, OR Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
  25. No sympathy from me since I turn 40 this year. Hell, I've been wondering if I'm supposed to join POPS this year or when I turn 41. After all, it's Parachutists OVER Phorty and I'll only be 40. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
