  1. I used spray carpet cleaner on mine, smells band new! Once it dries there is no smell. I removed the liner to clean it. And just so you know: Cookie will not sell you a new liner Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  2. i ended up getting rid of my colugo and got an aura because of this "shimmy" can you guys shed some light on what was done to the suit, as i have a couple friends with colugos that would really appreciate the info. thanks guys. pm is fine also Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  3. The original g1 or (gas) has it. Mine was only on the top piece, and it was inside of the liner. It's about 4"circle of perforated orange foam that looked pretty useless to me Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  4. Thanks guys, please keep chiming in! I had a strange weekend..... Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  5. Just wondering how many jump pilots use autopilot for jumping operations... Also want to know if autopilot is used for descending as well as climbing? Thanks guys Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  6. the PD190 canopy is f111 and will have a much greater porosity than a zeroP fabric (spectre) you will have a better flare on the spectre. i personally would choose the spectre any day of the week over an old PD. i have a few jumps on a pd190 and my ankles told me they didnt care for the flare or landings. i think you should definatly consult your instructors, i bet they will keep you on the spectre. dont downsize until you are comfortable, and dont be in a rush to downsize. 7. Racer : 50%-50% Open mesh (important) Here is a chart showing a summary of the Force vs. Dynamic Pressure (altitude & speed) of all know pilot chute tests. i didnt happen to see Vector 3 in that chart???? Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121

  9. there is your problem!!!! altitracks dont like the mudflap positioning. try it in your pocket or armwing pouch. ive seen multiple people have problems with altitracks placed on mudflaps. i wear mine on my wrist, but on the thumb, it fits perfect and always gives accurate readings. there is a pic of me in this months parachutist on pg43 (invasion boogie) you can see how well it fits next to the gripper. 10. make sure you have both canopy and freefall logging turned on. there will be a little guy in freefall and a canopy with a + between them in the left lower corner. after a jump you can replay the whole jump all the way to the ground, center button once then righ button 1-3 times depending on how fast you want the jump replayed. we were justy having issues this weekend at the performance comp in zhills. the pilot would dive the plane to 10,800 after the funjumpers got out and it would trick everyones altis into thinking they were in freefall. I agree with everyone else on the Flysight, this weekend was the first time i used one, really easy and i didnt have a failure to record. the owner of Flysight is a really nice guy too. 11. how tall? Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  12. just know a 120 is going to piont you at the ground also, im loading @1.3-1.4 on a spectre 120, and it is far from doscile when you have spinning line twists. if you ever plan on doing any bigway wingsuit stuff you might also want to consider a larger canopy. Organizers tend to shy away from folks with highly loaded mains in big groups. Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  13. your best bet would be try them both before buying. i owned a colugo and have flown a scorpion, two different suits completely. Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  14. BEST: TED NUGET and the Damn Yankees ted came out swinging on a tarzan rope, landing on the stage to pick up a crossbow with a flaming arrow, then shot a sadam image on a target with crosshairs on him. worst:Filter in 1995 in miami arena, it was on Trents Reznors birthday. Filter opened and SUUUCKED!!! then NIN came on and Trent was soo fucking wasted he was just causing feedback on the mic, then trew the mic and just crowd surfed for 20min+ but looking back, it was probably one of the most epic NIN shows ive been too. 18. angie is at skydive lake wales, you might be able to get ahold of her through windline jumpsuits as they are out of the same dz. Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  19. i heard squirrell has a new alternative to the havok as well, should be hearing about it very soon! Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  20. i was chasing a new Sbird owner, i dove down for his deployment then planed out and pitched. i have over 500 deployments exactly like this. im guessing its just one of those weird instances when everything dosent work out as planned. Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  21. i have a 11' bridle and had a wicked pc in tow yesterday on an xbird1, i have A LOT of jumps on my micron with 11' bridle from pin and 28" zp pc. this was the first time i experienced a pc in tow with a ws bridle. i reached back after pulling to ensure i did pitch the pud, it was gone, dbag still in container, i tried to manually extract the dbag by the bridle, when that failed i went for my handles, as soon as i grabbed them i felt the dbag bounce off of my foot. scotty burns was watching this from the ground, saw the whole thing, he thought i needed a longer bridle after this incident, he was really suprised when i showed him it was an 11'er Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  22. The first point is a matter of partly exposed reserve PC vs completely covered. You can argue that a partly exposed reserve PC has less flaps to clear. But as you said, this is a matter of preference. The reserve bridle is pretty well protected on Wings, or in any rig that I know of. I've never seen any reserve bridle exposed. The second point: How is that? I mean, you can't even lift the reserve pin cover flap completely on Wings, how can it be worse protected? Because the bottom end is more flexible? It is, but you can't lift the flap, which on my opinion makes it pretty difficult to expose the reserve pin, it can't snag on anything (as opposed to the vector reserve pin flap) Fair points, specially the second one on my opinion Addressed already by skydiverek. Wings have all that. my wings had a metal Dring with a steel cable. vector has spectra type cord to reserve pin. and as far as the riser covers go, you cant misroute a vector. you can misroute a wings. (reason for the warning label on wings lower flap) also the reserve flap is reversed (tucks up) on a vector. where as a wings its a barley stiffened short tab that tucks downward. (i had 2 out on a wings because of this) it was my fault for leaning back on the rig in the crapper of a twin otter, the pin got pushed up and almost out of the loop, it didnt come completely out until opening shock. it is not possible for this to happen on a vector because of the design of the tuck tab. 23. if you mean pitch the nose down a little then yes, it brings the tail up. Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  24. im not a pf guy but i heard the new havok is called the "carve" where is jarno? Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  25. i owned both, i prefer the vector micron. reasons being: reserve bridle and pc are protected much better. reserve pin cover stays closed better, vector offers a skyhook that is field proven 1000s of times. collins lanyard vector has hard housings in the risers. no metal reserve ripcord. proven magnetic risers that work. i sold my wings and bought a used micron for the same price as the wings sold. if you get a vector make sure your canopies are properly sized for the container. too tight is very bad!!! also if you plan on wingsuiting cut in laterals are not reccomended.
