  1. I use to have a wings and experienced a couple hard pulls. when I first packed the pud I would tuck it into the slit under the container flap, (where the tab is suppose to go) this was always trouble for me, I ended up tucking it under the right side flap and didn't struggle anymore. I sold the wings and got a micron, tuck under flap there as well Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  2. I know people that can do amazing acro/backfly in low wingroot suits, its all about what you learned on. most people I've spoken with find it easier to transition from a tony suit to a pf, than from a pf to a tonysuit. Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  3. my girl and I have been dating for about 8 months, we both skydive, wingsuit, and base jump together. it is an amazing relationship! I am closer to her that I have been with any previous gf, there is never a dull moment. one of the coolest feelings in the world is to take a dock with your girl in a wingsuit, keep it flying for a min or two just holding hands. then go lay down a sick line on a puffy, to be greeted with a kiss upon landing. it also helps when we go to scope base obj's. if someone walks up, you can just start kissing and make then feel all akward! they usually just turn around all shylike and walk away. btw girls that skydive are way cooler than whuffos Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  4. I've met Lee Majors a couple of times, he is a really cool old guy, drives a woody wagon and lives in boca raton. you would never know it if you met him, really down to earth guy. Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  5. im I'm love with my calugo, and came from an x3, the flare is a lot different in my opinion. have you flown an aura? what are ttrre differences between it and calugo, as far as build and flight differences? I liked how the x3 flew flatter (less dive) just wondering if the aura is any closer? Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121

  9. Yes. They have. With varying results. Until a different method is shown that demonstrates consistency, I'll keep teaching the method that works for P1's to Apache's (and have video of both extremes). What a tease! What is it? you have to pay for that information lol! Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  10. I just got off the phone with them, they said the shells and hardware are done, and that the visors are having to be changed, something about a small variation in thickness that has to be smoothed out on the right side of the visor. I spoke with the owner of the company "doug" he is a very knowledgeable guy, and has done his homework as far as working with carbon fiber. I was really impressed after talking to him. I've done a lot of carbon work on surfboards and wanted to see what was the holdup, and to offer some ideas, after talking to him, I feel really good about the wait. I was not aware that they are gettin the face shields certified for highway use. (really sweet!) finally a fullface that isn't extruded plastic! 11. join a climbing gym..... dont waste time with dumbells. use your own body weight. give it a try, you will be amazed at how sore you will be after only one hour. this type of exercise ecovers everything: core, arms, shoulders, back, abs, stamina, grip strength. everything! it is also mentally challenging, which is allot more fun than "pumping iron" dont waste your time at a meathead market. 12. I have gotten a few pms from others that were taken advantage of by "charlie mack" as well. can we get this guys account locked so he dosent scam any more people? please? moderators? Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  13. I spoke with him a few times before ordering the pc and bridle, he knew what he was talking about, and he has sold others pilot chutes and they received them. we exchanged 10-12 emails before I paid him. he also owned a rigging company. but I guess not every old time skydiver is honest. glad it wasnt allot of $$$. still not very happy, and hoping someone has some contact info, or a way to get ahold of the guy Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  14. i sent him some cash for a pilot chute and bridle over a month ago and he will not respond to any emails. pretty shitty for an old timer. if anyone knows how to get in touch with the guy let me know. thanks Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  15. does anyone know this guy? or where he jumps? Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  16. we use mesh sliders all the time in base. they will speed up your openings. consult a rigger before going this route, allot of my friends are jumping dacron lines and mesh sliders on their wingsuit rigs with zero problems Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  17. Yup. We had Scotty lay his Colugo over his Apache XRW? suit in for a size comparison. Very similiar in size. Colugo beat it by having the grips point out to the side more which actually makes it much easier to hold then the TS version which points straight back. Some other minor stuff like how the tail inflated about 5 inches thicker I had my arm inside the sleeves of both suits on the ground for test inflation, and the difference was that it felt like I was having my blood pressure checked on the Colugo vs the XRW lol From what I've heard about the mach1 while in an actual discussion about the Colugo, is that the Colugo is much easier to fly then the mach. This is second hand info though. and scottys colugo still has the old style bootie/leg wing attachment, so the newer tail should be a little bigger Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  18. You can't really compare those two suits because the SM1 is an old design that doesn't have nearly the same amount of surface area. The closest thing you can compare it to is the Apache or the Viper. from everyone ive spoken with about the colugo they all claim its in the x1-x2 size range. mine will be here this week!!! ill report back my opinionwhen i get it!
  19. on the micron there is only 1 flap that covers the reserve pin, it has a couple tuck tabs to keep it secure. if you check you reserve pin before every jump how is it going to be any different from your current rig. open the flap in the morning and turn the cypress on, after that check your reserve pin as you normally do (peeking through the side) do you really need to check the cypress before every jump? i dont really understand the problem? You do if your cypres falls in the service bulletin that requires you to edited Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  20. on the micron there is only 1 flap that covers the reserve pin, it has a couple tuck tabs to keep it secure. i know allot of people that have microns and have never heard of worn out tuck tabs from checking the reserve pin. also is it nesascary to check the cypress before every jump? i guess you got the "special edition gold one" lol!!! edited because i didnt see you check the cypress before every jump Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  21. the reason the cypress window is where it is: is because you have to open the reserve flap to turn the cypress on, so you have to do a reserve pin check at least once a day. they do not offer the window in any other configuration that i have seen. this was done from a saftey standpoint to ensure you are properly checking your gear. btw.... i LOOOVVVEEE my micron!!! 22. And you ordered one? Did you see a prototype or anything? https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/544934_504027559655966_1947245030_n.jpg http://www.rockskymarket.com/295-1453-thickbox/skysystems-c6-air.jpg those are computer renderings of the helmet, i am looking for real pictures. and they still do not help answer any questions about: cut away system, camera platforms, locking mechanism, visor gaps, etc..... Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
  23. Is anyone else out there dissapointed with the lack of communication about the new helmet? Skysystems has promised updates repeatedly and still no updates about cutaway systems, camera platforms, or the locking mechanism for the visor. we are just over one week away from the quoted shipping date, and have yet to even see a real picture of the helmet. im just wondering if anyone else is getting cold feet about this purchase? i am heavily considering seeking a refund and just getting a plastic g3 Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121

  25. We can usually go around the lack of a log book by calling the last DZ you jumped at to verify you're current, instead of needing a log book. However add in a WS and more is required, like a personal interview. For all I know 5800 of your 6300 jumps could have been tandems. A log book would have your FFC signed and dated, as well as other details about your jumps. correct me if im wrong but the whole ffc thing is a fairly new requirment no? what about people who were wingsuiting long before the bureaucracy tried to take control of wingsuiting? just trying to understand how that could even apply to folks that were doing it before there was even a consideration of a course to take?
