Hey guys and gals i didnt want to dish out the $200 for a box so i decided to try and build one, it only took about 4 days and cost me about $15.00. I integrated the hypeye into it, nice and clean. i didnt want to gaffer the led to the top of the helmet so i drilled a hole for it. let me know what you think!!! and yeah thats carbon fiber with a green gelcoat tint added to the epoxy!!! hi everyone i am looking for opinions on the sony cx100, i am considering purchasing this camera but i have heard mixed reviews as far as image stability. the other option i have heard is a much better choice is the sony xr500. any reviews on either of these cameras would be great, thanks everyone!! im an east coaster, i go to snowshoe, timberline, silver creek, canaan valley, its not the crazy fresh super deep powder all the time but if you catch it at the right time its a great place. and cheap like you wouldent believe. $120 for 2nights hotel and 3 days lift tickets, and that includes night boarding/skiing! plenty of nice little bars to hang out at too! every march they have a spring break party, djs on the slopes and in the parks spinning records and having a blast. just a quick update: i talked with jeremy from cookie composites this week and told him about what happened with my helmet. He said they have redesigned the visor for the helmet, now instead of having 2 tabs that are pinched by the screw in the side they have done away with the tabs and drilled a hole where the screw goes, so no more losing visors!!! yay! He also sent me a brand new updated version absolutly free!!! yeah now that is customer service if ive ever seen it!!! man i wish every company stood behind their products like this. i had the same dilemma, i didnt know if i should go for a flip up visor or not, i live in FL, it gets HOTT here. I ended up going with the cookie gas, i absolutly love the helmet and am glad i made the choice i did. no problems with it fogging up or condensate even after it rains. On a side note there are a couple issues ive had with my helmet: for one i thought the whole lining was going to be d30, boy was i wrong, only about a four inch circle in the crown of the helmet! Just this last weekend i put the 16th jump on it, when i transitioned from sit to belly the visor ripped right off the helmet, i checked the screws on the visor 5 jumps previously and they were tight, i was afraid to tighten them any more because i didnt want to end up cracking the visor or stripping the screws. If you end up going with the gas make sure you locktite the screws down tight. i think when my new visor shows up im going to run a tiny bead of silicone around the opening where the visor sits, just to be sure this dosent happen again. i use a cookie gas fullface and i absolutly love it!!!! ive only jumped it a dozen or so times, sitfly, transitions, head down, all lovely. it is a little noisy, even with an audible kinda wierd. but highly reccomended! Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121

hey everyone thanks for all the imput! humbled1 i really appreciate your insight into this, i already own a sony cx100 so i will probably be going for the cookie composites gas helment, i like the new sidewinder2 helment but its not made for the cx100, i heard cookie is in the process of making a box for the cx, guess ill just have to wait. if anyone has seen or has heard rumors on the bonehead fulface let me know, id like a visor that moves and a camera on the side. thanks again!
