ok i am a 32 year old guy, 6' and 150lbs, i have always been skinny, i eat like a horse, but dont gain weight. i am very active. im looking for some real info on how to gain some weight. ive tried creatine,protiene, weight gainer, i can gain about 6 lbs and thats it, if i get sick i lose it all instantly, im just looking for some ideas on how to keep weight on. and ya i drink plenty of beer, already got that one down. thanks Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121

so mabye its just me but im pretty sure skydiving is allot more dangerous than scuba. i have no problem donning scuba gear with a very minnimum amount of training. (tank,reg,computer,check) and ill scuba all day long. i realize these are not the dangerous deep or cave dives, but its still scuba. then on the other hand ill bet you cant find someone willing to don a rig with minnimal training, (pilot chute, cutaway and reserve handles) and do a hop n pop without getting seriously hurt or killed. just an opinion, everyone is welcome to their own. but with no experience, id scuba and live. the easiest solo skydive is much more training intensive than the easiest scuba dive, as well as much more dangerous. show me 1 person to jump without training and not get hurt, ill show you 100 scuba divers that dived without training and didnt get hurt. i did mine in 5! started at level 1 with 1 instructor, got let go the first time. my second jump was level 4, did fine again up to level 8 solo hopnpop. strong winds, bad spot, practicing 1\2 brake turns stalled the canopy, got a spinnig main, finally recovered, after i got out of 4 line twists i was at 1000' with the wind pushing me backwards. 150lb exitweight under a falcon 215. landed on my ass, watched my buddy that was on #10 have a similar situation but he landed in the canal! here is some background on the idea and image. i am from florida and was interested in skydiving clubs, ive seen the east coast free flyers and their logos, but have never met any of them in florida, so i decided mabye we should start a florida free flyers club, hence the fff. then after talking to my friends they all liked the idea of a friendlier free fly enviornment and thought many people could benefit from this idea, so we dropped the florida and changed it to friendly. the 3f logo looks similar to the symbol for a hurricane, and wind direction/power indicators. this is why i chose the design. i might have worded the opening post wrongly, mabye i should haver said "freefly icebreaker" or something of that nature. i strongly believe that you should converse with others at new dropzones, this idea was not to stop people from being friendly and conversive with others. im sorry most people took it that way. i was just looking for an easy way to meet and jump with new people and share some comrodary??? i know this happens every day at dropzones without any "gay" patches. guess i just wanted to start something locally and make some new friends while giving back to the sport. blue skys FFF#1 Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121

Hey everyone out there i have an idea for freeflyers. i have been considering this idea for a while now, so hear me out. Imagine instead of showing up to a new dropzone and wondering around looking for someone to jump with, imagine a patch that all freefliers "could" wear to show that they are "free fly friendly" since we are one big family here why not open our minds and make freeflying a "friendlier" sport. its just an idea, hopefully it will take off, but any nomadic freeflyer would appreciate being asked to come on a jump that normally would take some effort to get on. ive spoken with a few others locally and they've all agreed it could benefit us im thinking about making some patches if there is any interest. so in the future if you see a patch like the attachment, hopefully you will be inclined to ask a fellow freeflyer to come jump with ya. and if anyone has any input on this idea please let me know how we can make this happen and be safe. thanks and blues..... I had to click on your profile to see if you were form Indiana. My old dz has a turbine and is a tandem factory. The DZO doesn't care about "fun jumpers" and refers to us as a roll oh nickles because that is all he makes on a fun jumper out of a Caravan. I left there (still go over there on occassion) and now jump at a closer, smaller, Cessna dz and love every minute of it. A turbine isn't everything. im from florida and yah i realize this, the dz only has the caravan for the winter, then back to the 182. oh yeah they dont do outside video either, handcam only. i see everyones points on the "extra slots" after all the tandems are on the plane, i guess ill just have to look around and jump with the friends. thanks everyone! blues Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121

I really like my home dropzone but it seems that its turning into a tandem factory. i just want some ideas on how to change this. The dz has a caravan, so space isnt an issue. I think the biggest problem is the DZO, seems all that is seen is $$$. over the years there have been MANY talented flyers here, but most of them leave because of the dzo's attitude, constantly pissing people off. i can count at least 5 people that have left in the last 6 months because of 1 dzo's attitude. What would be the best way to bring the dz back to life? I really like my dz and dont want to just give up and go somewhere else. thanks everyone. Good for you. Now keep it on the track! I'm tired of moping up dead riders. Just like skydivers downsizing, each person on a bike thinks they're special and can handle it. That they have mad skillz. Very few have any sort of significant, organized ROAD riding training. And I'm not talking about the very basic, watered down MSF "Advanced Course."
