hey bro my advice is to mix it up. any discipline will get boaring if you let it. keep setting new goals and try to achieve them. change it up, do some rw, then go do some tracking jumps, try some atmonauti, backflying, and freeflying. just be safe and always consider others saftey into the equasion. if you allow your mind to cavitate then your flying will too. push the envelope and have a positive attitude. once you feel confident you arent going to hurt someone else try things that you might not have considered. theres ALLOT of fun to be had in the air. hoop dives fun noodle whack a mole jumps, mr bills, downplanes, all kinds of cool constructive ways to fly. i got into this sport with a good friend of mine and he has quit jumping, so i went through the loner stage of jumping and i did get boared with solos, so i had to break out of my shy shell and go make friends. its the best thing that could have happened to me. go to boogies period......... mabye some of those ultrasonic noise makers? i work at an airport and we have problems with pidgeons, we use something called "hot foot" it basically burns the birds feet. i dont know if your hummingbirds are landing and hanging out, if they are hotfoot will keep them from landing wherever you put it. it burns humans too so dont get it on you. good luck and thanks for looking out for the birds! i did my 25th (checkout) dive in a sit, and passed. front loop, back loop, 360left, 360 right. and stopped on heading! as long as you can track and are aware you will need to slow down before dumping you are fine to solo freefly. learn to backfly and how to recover without corking up bigtime and you will be on your way! hey sangi what is "real flying?" to you? im a freeflyer that happens to also enjoy staying up for 3min+ as far as i can tell you just like falling, not flying. i appreciate many different disciplines in this sport: canopy "flight", wingsuit "flying", free "flying", not just falling from the sky, but actually using the skys energy to create flight. quit being such a troll and go jump...... we all know you and your ways. i think im 3/4 monkey! actually there are a few things that the person deploying can do to help the jump. 1.pitch the pc asap or have someone pc assist you 2.make sure the hangar wraps their legs around the deployer 3.have the deployer cross his/her legs, this helps you keep from sliding down and off them 4.after the deployer pitches have them grab on to you 5. collapse the slider!!! if you watch my video closely you can see my foot get hung up under the slider for a while! 6. once you are on the shoulders of the deployer it is really tough to turn around, be aware!!! put as little pressure on the linesets as you can. 7. leave the brakes stowed unless you are gonna land it. i agree with what everyone else is sayin, but i also reccomend going out and doing quite a few tracking dives on belly and back, learn a good back track and it will come easier. find a dz where other birds jump once you have the minnimum #'s and get a good first flight instructor, do the first flight course, and dont stop! im deaf in my left ear, i once checked my optima on the way to altitude and put the thing back in the left side of my helmet, about 3k i realized i was low, and got under canopy. leson learned. but i could still hear the audible. turn it up, replace the batteries and make sure the speaker hole is facing your ear, remove any padding between the speaker hole and your ear you should be good to go. i have NO hearing in my left ear and still heard it from my right ear. so you are doing something wrong if u cant hear it.
