2 weeks ago I was jumping with this guy who had just bought his own gear and has jumped it about 10 times. He didn't know about having to cock his PC. On the next jump, he said that it opened a lot brisker. I felt bad because I gave him a gear check and missed the little window. Mine has one of them retractable pins that don't come out unless the PC's cocked.

I'm sure it is. But mine's heavier so I have a tripod.

I still wonder what we're going to do with the aliens is and when we find them. There's so much bias and not enough love being spread around. We'd probably start an intergalactic war when that happens. Maybe then it'll unite all nations and bring world peace.

And have some tequila for me amigo.

Yeah! Nice booby pics

I use iTunes. QuickTime Pro works too. And yes, I use a Mac.

It's a good thing MicroSlave WinBlows isn't what powers Cypres. Or is it?

I want to be a bull and a dominant one.

I wonder if the winds could have played a part. I've read somewhere that a heavier wingload has less tendency to drift on a crosswind due to the extra forward penetration.

That's close enough. I'm Sagittarius. See you at manifest.

May I suggest a Benchmade Model 50 Rescue Hook (see attachment). And the handle doubles as a bottle cap opener! Available here http://www.1sks.com/store/benchmade-model-5w-rescue-hook.html

I've worked out the perfect scam for ya. Here's what you do (I'll explain how it works afterwards): 1. Identify say 20 individuals 2. Approach each person as ask to "borrow" $1 3. Repeat the following week with a different set of individuals 4. Repeat the following week with the original set of individuals. (Scam may be modified by expanding the number of people in each sample, the number of sets, etc. depending on how fast you want raise the fund.) Here's how it works: Most people might forget about lending someone an insignificant amount of money. In the case of $1, they might even fall for the same scam twice. In the event that the loan is remembered, one's likely too embarassed to chase after it. Give it a try. It works best when the possibility to encounter one another is infrequent. Example: church (3++ opportunities a weekend - friday night, saturday evening, possibly 2 sessions on sunday - and the crowd's likely to be different each time).

Absolutely. Rare, but possible. And expensive too.

I posted this on the talk back forum, but I think this should be a reminder beginning from the first jump course. Quoting the non-fatal incident reports in Parachutist (July 2002): -------------- A female jumper was making a topless jump and suffered a hard opening, which resulted in several bruises and a torn nipple from the chest strap catching her nipple ring. The injury required stiches to repair. Any exposed body-piercing jewelry presents a potentially painful snag opportunity that should be considered prior to jumping. -------------- And I thought that I had it bad when I once clipped my nuts on a jumpers heel flying over his burble. My other ride is the relative wind.

Only ideas I can think of could be uneven riser lengths or twists, the harness may have become asymetrical. But I'm no rigger. Now being a programmer, I'd disassemble the canopy from the risers, and the risers from the harness, inspect them individually and reassemble them. Let us know what you found. In the meantime be safe jumping that gear. My other ride is the relative wind.

Good vibes are coming for you to get well Drew. My other ride is the relative wind.

After posting it, I just had to wonder if there was any strong boomerang interest here in the US and look what I found http://www.usba.org. My other ride is the relative wind.

Every freeflier I've come across are excellent belly fliers, and I've been told that all skydives end with belly flying. So there. My other ride is the relative wind.

I don't like confrontations and if knowing that someone's a jerk, I'd assume that he'd be a real prick if I got near him about the issue. Here's a suggestion: Load up his muffler with tiny ball bearings. My other ride is the relative wind.
