    sexy...!

Hey FFPM, It was reall cool to SEE your great landing today at 'Snore. Were you able to get some others to do another? Yes, I finished the Coach thing, and after the FJC on Saturday I'll be offering the green bottles, etc. We can do the celebratory skydive prior to that, but I'll be wearing a jumpsuit, not birthday suit.
  2. Hi Michele, First off, CONGRATULATIONS!!! So solly I flaked. I did however, have our DZ representative, Westcoastchica, make some cameo appearances both Sat. & Sun. As you know, I was caught up in the Coach class, etc. Then I did an 12 way that went to crap, drank beer with the natives and couldn't get motivated to go to the BS. Sunday we did a Demo into the stadium at Lake Elsinore. I got to puff a smoke flare as ground crew while Derek, Eike, and YoYo flew in. It was pretty cool. We got back just in time for a sunset 6 way and I got the peas all to my self on landing. Today, we finished off our Eval jumps with the instructors to complete most of the rating. The FJC is on Sat/Sun next weekend so I'm booked again. Unless, of course, you come down to 'Snore. Again, congrats on the "A" license!!!
  3. Bill is right on. Watching the Leap Frogs jump into the "Q" at San Diego stadium is really cool, but can be pretty gnarly if you're the one coming out of a Tri-by-side or a downplane, then setting up for the approach. Needless to say, those dudes are bad-ass. I'll stick to the Little League fields if I land off the DZ; although the Lake Elsinore stadium does look tempting............
  4. What?! You going in burner the whole way?
  5. I'm flying right seat with Karl on this load!!! Or, even worse, we can have a formation load with the trail plane full of dudes swoopin in on y'all.
  6. I guess I'm old school.... Zone 5 in an F4N over Whiskey 298.
  7. Okay, so we'll make a beer run.... besides, did somethin' happen to your grad beer? I only got a couple of green bottles... Was it "Private Reserve?"
  8. Okay, keep me in the loop. I'm not sure how long the my course will last. I'll be there after sundown at least because somebody owes beer.
  9. Mouth, It'll probably be a little cooler then, but also a little wet possibly........
  10. You'll feel right at home........ it was 108 on Sunday.
  11. You say something about NIGHT jumps???
  12. No prob! Just tell 'em your with me. I'll protect you from all the evils. BTW, this would be GREAT publicity! This will be THE BOOGIE of boogies (at least in SoCal.)
  13. Snore on Saturday, but doing the Coach course most of the day. Stick around for the sunset big-way.
  14. Jen, The Shark will be there to assist you and other low-timers. It WILL be fun! ///M
  15. Okay, so I wasn't on a jump plane, but rather a B737-300 bound for Seattle. Close to 1000' I almost took out my helmet to listen for the ProTrak, etc. We leveled off around 15 and I noticed something odd; nobody farted! As we over flew different areas I was constantly checkin out "the spot." It was also really weird to "land" in the plane as I would have preferred to "jump" even if it was a hop-n-pop.

    I'm back!

HH, I just got back from Seattle and was pretty much the same way. Thousands unread in the 5 days away from the forums! New threads, and new people..... So, for me, catch some surf tomorrow, 3 days of work, then a weekend of skydiving! BTW, I traveled with the Frankenrig and nobody hassled me about it! Is airport security that relaxed?? Anyway, when we were up at FL 390, I kept checkin the spot and am even more anxious to do a high-altitude jump in Davis, CA next June.
  17. Great pics, but where's the shark pic?? Shamu made it...
  18. For a minute I thought you *went into the pick-up* or hit *the tall moose!*
  19. Agreed. If *normal* sailing is too boring you might want to crew on a boat in a PHRF race or one-design. I've skippered or crewed on a lot of *spirited* races. It's as exciting as you make it, even at 4-7 knots.
  20. Nice place to jump! Looks like I'm gonna have to make a *road* trip across the pond someday.... Your DZ looks like a fun DZ. And it could probably be anywhere here in the states!
  21. Well, I was referring to the grease you can get at the roadside diners, etc. Nuttin like a good ol greasy slider.
  22. Hey, Anybody want a beer???? Who is actually faster is a moot point...... The idea is to jump with your friends, whether it's freefly, rw, and crw. I jump in all those *disciplines* and subsuquently have a lot of friends. And someday I hope to obtain the Millenium Award (or whatever you call it. Already got all the rw and crw(daytime) awards.)
  23. Isn't that why we use *protection?* Anyway, no Shark in Quincy '01. Heading up to the great NW to stay with the princess for a week. And, if I'm lucky, a few jumps at Kapowsin! Send pics! eg. ST&A, not s&ta...
