After her appointment today with the orthodontist, all I kept hearing was, "Whaa....they're not taking my braces off....this hurts....I don't want to wear rubberbands...whaaa whaaa whaaa." I'm coming into this late and all, and there's probably a 1% chance that I'll ever have kids, and I don't even think this applies to your situation....so, this is quite possibly the most useless post on dz.com ever made. That said, if I ever did have kids, if they expressed an interest in learning more about any religion, I would take them to whatever institution of their choosing. Until that time, though, instead of sitting in a church listening about how to be a good person, every Sunday, I would take them to volunteer somewhere. As another poster already said, shop around. It's been awhile since I've worked on P&C pricing, but insweb.com was a decent place to start at. Most states also publish a comparative rater (ie, another good place to look to get an idea of which companies to get quotes from.) For awhile, Allstate was notorious for their horrible customer service, so you can't just assume that big names = big service. Also, a lot of the unknown brands are actually owned by the big companies (hence, you get their customer service.) There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
