  1. Although this is so poorly worded that it is difficult to decipher, think I know what you are saying. And judging by the normally higher quality of your other writings, I'm assuming that the ambiguity is deliberate. Civil rights are indeed always evolving with society and culture. From emancipation, to voting rights, abortion rights and lately marriage rights, the trend in Western countries is more rights for more people. It is my feeling that expansion of rights so far has always been a positive thing, and never a negative. Are there exceptions I'm forgetting? 2. Devil's advocate here. (almost literally) In a world where leaders rain bombs upon wedding parties accidentally and bomb homes knowing children are with the targets and the words "collateral damage" justify it, and torture is now simply "EIT", Donald Trump's plan is basically for more of the same. 3. There you go again, promoting your demonstrably evil and false god. For the sake of your soul Ron, I invite you to reject the madness you have embraced and come over and join me in the light. Your prophets and "saviour" are agents of evil. Repent while you can. This may be your last chance. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  4. Most of the world would be fine with it. I suspect the reptiles and other primitives would object. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  5. In Canada they are neither. They are "personnel essential to flight". The capacity of the aircraft depends on staying within its weight and balance limitations and the number of "parachutist restraints" (seatbelts) installed. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  6. The Donald has a history of racism as a landlord. Whatever his true beliefs, he knew exactly what he was doing on that talk show. He was sending a signal to people that he sympathizes with Duke and white supremacists, but leaving the door open for denial later. This is just along the lines of using coded talk to appeal to people when it's not acceptable to openly support them. It's used all the time in Republican politics. The Donald is showing many signs of true political genius. He is constantly fine tuning his message. He is starting to make Slick Willy look like an amateur. 7. He clearly is far from stupid. And just as clearly is ignorant. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  8. That is excellent. What we need now is for that 99% decide to stop protecting the other1%. That will only happen if we insist that it happens. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  9. People are angry. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  10. Editor's note: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims -- 1.6 billion members of an entire religion -- from entering the U.S. Do ya think Ariana is mad at the Donald? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  11. Not gonna happen. They will watch in shock and awe as Trump takes the delegates he needs. Some will take a principled stand and declare for Clinton, knowing they will be forgiven under the circumstances. Most will put on a brave face and salvage as much down ticket as they can. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  12. You believe what you want to believe. She is probably just as slick as slick Willy though. She's going to make a very good President. And sometimes she will lie. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  13. Well, is is a scary concept. But to put things in perspective it's reads to me as a story about some recommendations from some panel. There does not appear to be any immediate danger. You will have plenty of time to increase your stores in preparation. But since the end is so near, maybe it's not worth your trouble to worry so much. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  14. And people say BHO, and HRC are "polarizing" figures. I just can not believe what Trump has done to your election. American politics are so much more interesting than any others. I suppose that's because the stakes are so high. God Bless America, she needs it right now. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  15. http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/Federal_coal_subsidies http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/sep/16/us-australian-taxpayers-pay-billions-fund-coal http://www.carbontracker.org/report/coal-subsidies/ None of these sources is impartial, they all have an agenda. But they all make a good case that fossil fuel production has long been and continues to be, subsidized. One man's subsidy is another man's incentive plan. 16. An hour ago at their AGM, CSPA has passed a motion to add "indoor skydiving" to it's sanctioned competitions. It was a very close vote, but 2/3 was required, so not that close. This was in response to a request by local tunnel operators and the FAI. It seems to mean CSPA will be the sanctioning body for Canadians in international competition. I'm now wondering if USPA plays a similar role. And if not who does. And what is the situation in other countries? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. 17. Aircraft of comparable role, configuration and era Antonov An-140 Bombardier Dash 8 Dornier 328 Embraer EMB 120 Brasilia Fokker 50 Ilyushin Il-114 Saab 340 and 2000 Sukhoi Su-80 Xian MA600 None of these are used as jumpships are they? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  18. Well then.... that's a little cynical you....you must be a lot like me. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  19. If that's what you see, then I guess so. Sort of like "We report, you decide" Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  20. Well, that's true. Of anything. Do you have a reasonable point to make, or is that all? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  21. It's only a sin if you enjoy it! But seriously, is it okay for you to partake in sodomy if it's with a woman? There's a law against that you know. Somewhere in some religion. It seems to me sodomy is forbidden, and who it's with is not mentioned much. Remember that when the humming starts. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  22. That reflects YOUR bias. Keep in mind that the list isn't that long. It's mostly the current candidates and it does not go very many years back. Saying that it doesn't pass the smell test is pretty much the same thing as saying it lacks truthiness. But I know what you mean, we all bring our own preconceptions to the table. It helps me to try to be aware of them so that I don't give them too much weight. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  23. So, are you saying you are concerned that the government may be attempting to enlist the medical community, the insurance companies, and the pharmaceutical industry to remove gun rights from Americans under the guise of protecting the public? Do you think mental health screening for veterans is wrong, or just dangerous? It seems like a good idea to me, given the high rates of suicide for them and the call from veterans organizations for more mental health services. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  24. You and brenthutch are proving the authors statement: You don't like the message, therefore it must be both biased and untrue. Although the story is from The NY Times, the fact checking quoted is not. It is from Politifact. Here is a link to where they explain who they are and who funds them. Very open and very upfront. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/blog/2011/oct/06/who-pays-for-politifact/ But go ahead, shoot the messenger. It's the traditional thing to do.
