    Breakcord

from the teeny tiny bit i know... you ALWAYS use your PC when doing SL for the exact reason you mentioned. If it breaks early you still have something pulling your canopy out. HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  3. Yeah, All of the Liquid sky suits I've seen are really cool and well finished. Contact Julio he'll hook you up with a really nice suit in a hurry. HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  4. the sti is a straight up balls to the wall fast ass car... totally different from what this guy is looking for. a turbo can be for a normal car... it can actually be more fuel efficient. i think the baja is pretty much useles.. id go with the station wagon. my gf. owns a subaru dealer and reccomends the same thing... resale with the baja will also be much more difficult... their must be some reason they stopped making the baja after just a few years... the outback has been around or a while. my $.02 HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  5. Del Frisco's is by far the best.... but the only one i've been to is in orlando. the difference between mortons, ruth chris, and the Palms is all about the atmosphere.. the meat is pretty much the same.. and the prices are high at all three.. you cant really go wronk with any of them.. and if you do you can bitch till you get a free meal now that being said... I would go with home bbq as Normiss said cause thats the bomb when you get down to it... PS... they put tons of butter on the steaks at all 3 rest. mentioned above.... i like them sans butter. now im hungry... HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733

the boogie is coming soon.. get down here and lets drink some coladas lmfao Thats a pearl droquette ! You accent the positive , and are totally honest about the negative. If I ever make it to Puerto Rico I owe'ya one of those world famous Colatas, in payment for the belly laugh!
  7. so....? HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  8. i like to fudge on the # of posts i have to be as cool as some of the high posters... but as far as jumps go... ummmmmmmmmmm i really only have 53.78 jumps but i love having a C license... ahhahahahah don't BS your jump numbers... whats the point. HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733

  10. it's like 80 degrees here.. the same way it is all year round.. come visit and flock! Puerto Rico HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  11. im fat and fall fast.... i like the Mach 1 out of all the suits ive flown as far as flocking goes... it has the most lift out of any. ive jumped V1, V2, Acro, Phantom, GTI, firebird, PHI, Prodigy, GTI, Nebula, and some of the other tony suits. They all have their + & - but for big guys flocking, big wings are the way to go. my $.02 I would only reccomend this suit if you are already profficient at flying WS. This is not a beginner suit. Learn on something smaller and gradually move up... just like anything else. blue skies. big flocks ( Puerto Rico Boogie is in FEB!!!) Dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  12. you want huge.. try flying the neon green one they got... its a mach1 made for a big guy.... just imagine that... i quite like it!! HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  13. why are you guys talking about counter tops in the thread.. it should be ALL about the beatuifull beach jumps and hot chicks lying on the sand... easy pickings for the flockers... i have some guys down here that will sell you formica cheap, and even wrap you up in it if you're good to them... can you make a WS out of counter top material? OOHHHH I know... thats how somebody is going to land a WS... on a big ramp made of formica... HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  14. wow orlando.. those directioons are really good... not even some idiot wingsuiter could get lost (hint hint...) Umm.. I have one question... is it getting cold up north yet?? cause its 80 something here everyday!!! um the countdown started.... 72 days to go! HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733

  16. yeah scotty thanks for posting the pics finally!!! Cant wait to fly with the flock again! dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  17. I sometimes try to not quarter the slider completely with the logic that it will come down faster.. does that make any sense? HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  18. yeah...from what i know the only consistently open dz in the Caribbean is in Puerto Rico... the view is spectacular! HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  19. I also have a pilot 188 and have average openings of 800-1000' which have scared teh crap out of me whn i pull low.. so much so that i rarely will pull below 3k-2.5k... I am going to try some of the solutions discussed here. I have the largest pilot chute available (from what Aerodyne told me) as well as an 11' bridle since i jump WS quite often. I have problems with my pilot chute getting uncocked and usually will cock it 3 times throughout my packing process to ensure that it is fully cocked. My openings are pretty much all on heading... I personally love it when the canopy slams open because its pure relief.. I hada jump this weekend that felt like it took a good 3-4 sec before i even felt the snivel start. Any more tips are greatly appreciated. HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  20. ...but that's the internet - the fault isn't with the people jumping to assumptions, but that they took the information on face value to start with. What the internet community is good for: gradual knowledge growth through constant re-evaluation (e.g. Wikipedia). What the internet community is bad for: accurate evaluation of very recent events. People say it again & again: please wait until the facts are posted. I disagree. The only thing a forum is good for is speculation and assumption - and I don't think this is bad in itself, in fact its often entertaining, its just unfortunate that in our world the subject matter is often very emotive e.g. serious injury / death - I include BASE and skydiving in that, as the same thing often happens in the Incidents forum. Oh well. I cant believe you think this forum is only good for speculation and assumptions. I actually try to learn from hard cold facts and the opinion of people who have far greater experience than me. you just need to be able to sift through the BS and get to the real info. HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  21. Yeah... Jeff will probably be there as will a bunch of guys with hundreds of WS jumps... Z-hills has one of the largest populations of WS'ers around. You made a good choice going there. Have fun! Dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  22. Yup... this is another standard DORKZONE.COM thread.... I cant believe all the BS that was posted on this thread before you guys really knew what happened. Maybe the speculation on this forum will finally diminish a bit after a few people have to swallow their posts... posting when you dont know didly about the situation is........... RIP and my deepest condolences to the family. Dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  23. the pics are great matt!! Great job once again. I can't believe that purple mike wasnt in every single pic!! So if the boogie is off for next year.. I guess more people will be coming to PR to jump at the beach!? Blues, dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  24. I also had a great time... And I thank everybody for everything.. especially Jeff and Tony with the suits and Scotty for being so cool about everyone hanging out in his RV.... The jumps were superb as well.. cant wait for more beach jumps... oh wait.. ill probably be making some this weekend... haha anyone wanna get on a load with me? HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733

    Traveling with Gear

I have travelled a bunch with both my SD rig and my BASE rig. carry the TSA letter with you.. you ARE allowed to have an AAD... dont let the TSA people tell you sh#$ You are legally entitled to carry on your rigs.. and that is the only way i will travel with mine. ONly once I had to check it in and it was just prior to boarding because it was a tiny plane and the carry on's allowed were really small. I was able to see my rig the entire time though; from the time they loaded it, unloaded it, and handed it to me. I try to go to the airport looking halfway decent. this seems to deter the TSA guys from hassling me. This post is only relevant in the US. When I travelled to Brazil with the rig it was a joke.. they didnt care what you brought on with you. my $.02 Dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
