I think that a ban free forum is much more atune to Base Jumping. People do whatever they want in Base; personal expression is a big part of that. Skydiving has tons of rules; Base does not. A forum should follow that trend. HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733

  10. WEll, I finally got to fly a Raptor at the PR boogie and let me tell you; it is the best suit I have used for flocking. As everyone has different body sizes (I am a big guy 6' 210) and flying styles I have found the suit that works best for me when flocking. We had a flock in the high 50's which made me work and I actually dropped out due to some burble action; I was able to float it right back up with no problem. On faster flocks it was also super friendly and stable. I have flown the MAch 1 on like 15-20 flights and it also kicks ass but I dont really feel like i need the extra wing for flocking. I just wanted to give my input and I really think that everybody should give this model a few flights and see how they like it... I obviously think its the shit. Blue skies and fat clouds for the flockers... Dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733

I've been to the DR quite a bit. I wouldn't go so far as saying its a DUMP... it is a beautiful country. It is still in the developmental stages and therefore is a third world country. Most third world countries suffer from situations like lacking trash clean-up... I have run into a few situations with the MAN over there and you can usually get away with anything if you have enough $$$ to bribe them with. Dominican Jails are no joke though. I would suggest some locals as ground crew; even if they don't have the foggiest about BASE. If you do get to jump anything over there pm me good luck, dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733

  17. I used to listen to music the entire time.. on the ride up.. in freefall and under canopy. Once I was in the airplane and i was the person dealing with the door. I could not hear the commands from the pilots or my friends on the load. I decided from that day on that having music is really cool but not worth the added risk. All I had to do was rip the earphones out of my ear to hear them but i just tried to picture something like that happening in a real emergency. just my $.02 HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733

  22. I have a buddy who is like 6'1-2 and about 180 and has over 200 jumps... he wants a first jump flight...hehe but i dont have a suit that will fit him.. if somebody can bring a begginer suit for this guy he'd be very happy. his name is Josue, one of the local jumpers on the island and an especially nice guy. the boogie is only a month away!! cant wait for the flock to arrive. blue skies, dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  23. my pilot is loaded close to what you would be loading yours and i have had great results with it while flying WS.. I have had some nasty line twist from time to time but it always flies out of them. I would suggest you demo the canopies and find what suits you best. HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  24. I had a friend who had a pretty intense water landing. the canopy was obviously soaked and filled with sand. We hung it up on a clothesline and rinsed every cell repeatedly as well as the lines and the rig itself.. and the reserve. it was left to dry and repacked a couple of days later. this process took a few hours 3+ it was very very thurough. the rig has since had something like 50 jumps on it and it has been about a year since the incident. From what I have been told by the owner of the gear he has had no adverse effects from the water landing. the canopy was a velo 90 something in a Javelin container and had a PD reserve. i hope this helps. 25. yeah.. listen to normiss... a big way WS exit out of that jet is a shady idea... the first few went out clean; the rest of us kicked eachothers ass on exit. I think a 2-4 way would be perfect. HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
