  1. yeah... i thought that ethics were involved in Base.. from what i have read it seems that way.. contact the locals... and dont burn a spot otherwise you get tarred and feathered.... anybody going to tar this guy? He seems to have done some cool jumps but from my very limited knowledge this last one was fucked cause the Mexican jumpers had one of their best objects burned... just my $.02 HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  2. QuoteThat's what I wanted to hear! Not that I'm being a Bitch(Fuck you very much) REPLY: yeah.... you were pretty much bitching though... I understand that since i bitch quite a bit myself.. Blues, dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  3. my 2 cents... hey man it hurt when i was a student too.. now either shut up and deal with it or take up bowling... the pain just made the sensation that i jumped out of an airplane that much more real.. and i dont like pain... but stop being such a little bitch... whats the big deal with a couple of bruises... go read what happens when you make a low turn... now that shit really hurts..... (from what i've seen/read!!!) blue skies... bruised thighs.... dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  4. Congrats!!! HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  5. I know nothing about running a DZ... My 2 cents anyway are I would buy all the gear and lease a plane for the first 6 months to a year and see how the DZ goes. If it looks good then i would make the biggest investment which is the plane... from a business standpoint i feel that you risk less doing it that way.. but again i know nothing about running or starting a DZ.. 6. I heard that The guy had closed up shop???? anybody care to clarify? HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  7. wow... 38 WS in 2 planes... that sounds really cool.. is there any footage of that around? HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  8. wow.. you saw the whole thing in 20 minutes.. from my recolection it took almost 20 minutes just to get to the bay paddling... my excursions have been 1- 1:30 min. here is a link of peoples reviews of the bay: http://paddling.gadling.com/2005/05/08/bioluminescent-lagoons I am pretty sure i went with Eco-action tours who have a great and well organized setup.. their contact info is: 787.791.7509, or email [email protected] So... I am still open for questions or comments.. get your trips together and get the most out of this beautifull island!!! my next journey is to go caving and canyoning with these people... it really looks cool!! http://www.aventuraspr.com/adventures/caving/index.htm HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733

  10. There are 2 bio bays in Puerto Rico, One in Fajardo which you can Kayak in... I highly reccomend.. and i can get you the tour info if you want it. The other one is in La parguera on the south west corner of the island. This bay unfortunatly has lost much of the glowing shit (dinoflagilites.. or somehting like that) so i dont recomend it... The one in Vieques though is the best of all!!! there they have a guided electrical pontoon boat run by some marine biologist University Lady who is mad smart...she explains everything really well and can answer all sorts of questions. As far as the diving goes I have a bunch of recomendations as I have been diving on the island for 10+ years.. I dove an awsome wall on the south west corner of the island on saturday.. it was Wicked!! If anybody needs more info or help just PM or post and I will do what i can.. cant wait for the flocking to begin!!!!! dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  11. You dont realize what you have till its gone.... thats the saying and it applies 100% to that website!!! I miss it!!! I hope everything works out and you can get it up again!!! Thanks for making it! Gracias, Daniel HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  12. I put my helmet INSIDE... the backpack i carry on... And i leave the diter in it always.. I have traveled with it over 5 times and they never even look at me twice for some reason... The rig i carry on in one of those small rolling suitcases.. it fits perfect with just enough room for my logbook... I prefer having mine inside a bag and protected.. it is still relatively new and i dont want it to get all scratched up ( i know i know.. im a little bitch...) I personally dont like putting my $500 helmet under the plane.. i cant really afford to buy a new one at the moment.. anything i cant afford to loose stays with me while i travel... blues, dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  13. dammm i was just wondering what is the point you want to make wearing a watch that doesnt tell the time... i just dont wear one anymore... plus the fact that i almost always have my cell... which has a clock on it... I have some nice watches.... sitting in my safe... they come out once in a while when they are appropriate.. the old school watches i have are jsut for doing excercise... blues, dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  14. Yeah Scott.. your book rocks... I ave had it since august and still look at it at least once a week.,.. Their is just so much usefull info... and since Jose and I (with our linited knowledge) are the only ones consistently jumping the suits.. it is pretty much our only source of knowledge... oh yeah.. this forum helps us out a lot to... I think you have made a great contribution to WS with that book. thanks again.. Happy New Year!!!!!! HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  15. wow... nice pics... one day i'll be up there.... HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  16. I am contemplating base once i have 500 jumps which should be by the end of 06. I live somewhere where there are only 2 guys who could possibly be mentors but they havent BASE'd in a few years and are not really into it at all. My best friend and I have decided to go to an FJC course together after we have 500.... but our plans after that are totally lost... We live somewhere where their are a couple of objects but nothing is set up or "open" as you guys call it.. so as far as im concernec.. after my FJC I will be out in the wilderness with no guide but myself and my buddy. We cannot travel to the US all the time to jump so we will have to figure somehting out. I have a whole lot of respect for BASE and am willing to put in the time being ground crew.. I already read as much as i can about it... and i dont have anybody to be GC for... enough with my whinning.. iwant it bad enough so im sure i will find a way.. Any suggestions? 17. I am going to make a relevant comment here.. I bought one of the Ipod Nano's and have been using it to jump with. Its size allows it to go on my arm even with my wingsuit on. I listen to it on the way up to altitude and then throw my helmet over my head and the headphones stay in place up to the point where i land.. and at least wearing the WS i can listen to the tunes all the way down. I have been debating wearing the headphones though for the exact reason discussed here. I have already encounteres situations where I cannot hear what people around me are saying. I sometimes sit next to the door with my tunes on... I dont really think that what i am doing is the smartest thing and i DO worry that shit can happen and i will realize it a split second later.. which could make all the difference in the world.. SO maybe ill keep wearing the headphones but turn the music way down... or just take them off and stop messing around... it is also just one more thing to worry about. So now I would like to hear opinions on my debate and what you guys think of my situation. blues, dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  18. I thought I could add something to this thread with my experience but its all here.... TSA letter... Cypres Card, USPA card and license and the airlines individual policy towards rigs, i have travelled with mine over 6 times and NEVER had a problem...i ALWAYS carry on.... I wouldnt let my rig go below although I know people who do and it has worked fine for them.. have a great trip!!! Blue Slies, dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  19. I got my ticket...its like $10 in gas and $3 in tolls per day......... Cya all at the boogie!!!!!!!! HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  20. I had a pretty interesting spin.. i was trying ky first barrel roll and seem to have not understood it to well.. as i tried to come out of it i must have been off angle and started spinning very rapidly.. i only let 2-3 spins happen before i got in the fetal position. the spin then slowed, i opened up the wings and flew out of the remaining inertia that was spinning me... at least thats the way it felt.. and i didnt have anybody filming me...But my flat spin was nothing compared to what happened to that person on exit in the S3 who's video is up on skydivingmovies.com blue skies and fat clouds, dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  21. I cant wait for the boogie to get here.. I am hoping to join on some big way WS jumps as well as a bunch of other stuff. PR is a great place to come visit... especially in febuary... and i cant wait to see Keila hanging at the DZ and a bunch of other jumpers... its gonna be a great time!!!! get on down here. hope to see you all soon!!! I got to jump there on a beautifull Saturday. I was treated great by the staff and the other fun jumpers. The loads went up all day long... I will go back next time I'm in the area and recomend it to everyone who wants to jump in miami.

  24. ARE THEY 18????????? HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  25. i think that looks pretty cool.. i would take it out for a spin... but it looks huge and a lift ticket would probably cost an arma and a leg not even considering the cost of the actual thing... if you need another test pilot im here........ HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
