I have jumped in rio,. Barra Jumping is the name of the DZ. I think it is listed on here in the DZ list by country. You can land on the beach.. but not all of the loads are to the beach it is more of a special thing. you need to have a fair amount of jumps to do it. you dont need flotation device... at least i wasnt wearing any. THe jumps are expensive like $40 each out of an islander @ 10k the people are super super cool and helpfull. The owner of the DZ was really nice and let me land on the beach... you land in front of a particular bar on the beach. the owner is a really cool guy and totally down with jumpers.. I had plenty of free beer at that bar and made great friends. The view is spectacular. and the people at the dz are awesome. I highly recomend making a few jumps if you are in town. the DZ is at the airport in front of the Barra's shopping mall. Its about 15 min drive from Ipanema beach. I cant remember how much it cost to get there but it wasnt cheap either... You can also hop on a bus... but that can be a tad bit dangerous especially with all of the gear your going to be carrying. This could possibly be one of the best threads I've ever read on the dorkzone I really think the comparison pics skymonkey1 has posted really show the differences between suits. Maybe some type of compilation of these pics should be done... pics of all of the suits from an equal distance. Matt maybe it could go on your page.. which really kicks ass... I jumped the webbed suits a couple of times and yeah you do loose a bit of your dexterity and sensation due to the material but I was able to feel and get my hackey out. I didn't really dig them either.. I know the new Tony Suits fly awesome and I believe that the webbies are great for those who like them since It makes sense that you will get more lift wearing them. I also hear they make steering with just the hands a breeze. In closing, I think the suits design and build are fantastic and nobody should put them down untill thy've tried them... blue skies and fat clouds. PS... Scott Im glad to hear you made It ok... I think that adding a moderator or 2 is heading in the right direction. Personally this board has helped me answer certain questions for which I am very greatfull to Sangiro for making this forum. I just think that their needs to be a more even paying ground for everyones opinions. Their are many experienced jumpers who choose not to post here. I think if this is to be the most popular and well known forum, which it already is; everyone should feel free to post here and the moderators job should be only to enforce the rules by the book; equality among all jumpers and posters. thats just my $.02 but then again I don't know S@#$ HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733

Hey Man after meeting you personally a few times I know you are cool and serious about WS. When you told me about all the suits you guys bought and how you would demo them out free or for real cheap i thought that was a super cool thing to do to help promote the growth of WS in the US. It's really sad to hear that a few dickheads messed up and you ended up paying the taxes. For what its worth i'm sorry to hear about the shit you've been put through just trying to help the sport.
