  1. I think you have to go to Amsterdam... and visit the Heineken Skydiver... you get to drink beer straight from the vats........ it dont get any better than fresh beer and a big fat........... HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  2. sounds like a good time... i would have held your zipper together for you... next time you need a safety pin just give me a call and i'll come running..... HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  3. the insurance on cell phones usually limits you to 2 phones in 12 months... i went trhough 2 phones and got my insurance cancelled.. I only paid $2.99 per month.. why dont you tie it to your arm with a bungee cord or somethinG!!! HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  4. we are at $.71 per liter which equals about $2.70 per gallon... i guess we are pretty lucky up to now... sooner or later Puerto Rico will suffer the same as you guys,, My 350Z just sucks the gas down the way i drive... and it only uses premium.. I want to cry every time i go to the pump... what i want to know is when my salary is going to go up.... HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  5. stop coplaining about the caravan.... i will be jumping in Humacao PR out of the 182... probably with rental gear since my new rig is still 10 weeks out. blue skies to all. dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  6. I got 3 jumps on a prodigy at the WFFC... I really liked the differences between it and other suits, the fact you can reach the risers is great. I had a good fall rate but not as good as with the GTI i tried... I only have 11 WS jumps so my figures are basicaly useless.. I also had a wing blow out.. I was able to control it fine after i released the other wing.I think mine was a rigging error on not getting one of the snaps completely seated. I had a problem getting it seated on the ground trying out the suit. Once this happened to me i made sure to tripple check each snap before flying away. I the suit is very well constructed and I think it is a great addition to WS offered. The features are great especiall for beginers like myself... and BASE? (thats what makes most sense to me...) blue skies, dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  7. the one zipper worked really well for me. The angle of the zipper is what makes all the difference. It was much easier for me to get in and out of than the GTI...with less zippers, there are less things to break.. right? blue skies, dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  8. that was awesome omar... thanks for sharing your progress.... I cant wait for the next one!!!! HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  9. I have very little experience. Take what I say with a grain of salt because i don't know much about WS YET.... I really liked the PHI. Compared to the other suits i flew the wing surface area was much larger. it was constructed very well (as were the other birdman suits i have seen) The suit has the vents on the back as well so you can back fly ( i did not even attempt that). I also liked the pieces that go in your hand, i felt it was easier to control than the GTI I tried. So in conclusion i think the suit is great and will probably end up getting either that or the firebird as my first suit... first i need to get my rig and its still 10 weeks out!!! blue skies....and some nice puffy clouds.. dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  10. I hear prostitution is really catching on..... ooops... thats was for a different sport.... HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733

    Goodbye

so what are you going to do man... i voted that i dont really care... post whatever you want.. i participated in the marijuana poll... i didnt think it was a trolling poll... maybe i am a dumbass... so I wanna know what your decision is.... people either dont want you or dont really care.... mayb eyou could just control your posts.. which is what i have learned to do... but for real.. are you a skydiver? HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  15. nice suit....even better price.. have fun jumping it!!! I also want to know how your fall rate changed with your new suit. blue skies, dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  16. i think if you gotta fart then do it... no need to add pressure to skydiving... I fart all the time and get pissed cause they hardly ever reek.... on the other hand there are a few jumpers at my DZ who are infamous for putrid smelling gas.. I hate getting on the plane with these people after they eat. I think if you fart you should just admit it... I hate it when nobody takes the blame.... We all have to suffer through it anyway.. it would be nice to know who to blame... but in conclusion... farting on planes is one of the very few things i dont like about jumping out of planes. i guess i should try to get on more hot air ballon jumps or something... 17. I just want to comment about the fact that I was looking through a skydiving mag yesterday and came accross some shots from the 420 boogie. All or most pot smokers know exactly what this means. If you dont its cool but understand that pot smoking i guess is something that goes with adrenaline pumping activities, it is a sedative. Don't be naive, if you dont smoke then the people who do will keep it away from you out of respect (for the most part). So if you do not, It is really hard for you to comment on the pot scene at your DZ cause you are not part of it. I would bet some money that 90% or more of all DZ's have some type of pot scene going on.. some places out in the open.. others under ground. just my $.03 HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  18. I got my copy at the WFFC... I think it is really informative. It covers so many aspects of WS flying from body position to the aerodynamics. I also think that it is really up to date with the info and pics all the way up to the PHI and V1. Thanks for making such a great WS book. I am sure many people including myself can get a LOT out of this material. blue skies and puffy clouds... Dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  19. i had like 30 some odd jumps when the boogie came to my DZ... I had a great time... just be carefull and ask a lot of questions... go prepared... blue skies, dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  20. those are some great pics of the rodeo lift off attempt. I am sure you guys will get it with just a couple more tries... The shot of her standing on the guys back in flight is wicked!!! Edit up that video omar so we can show it around the DZ... Saludos a todos... Danny HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  21. WEll I went for a week and it was my first time. I have to say that coming from a cessna DZ this was like Disney World; I personally went to jump and jump i did so I am fully satisfied and will be back. I do have some recomendations though: 1) The portable sinks is a great idea.. i would have dealt with a garden hose or something but i did feel all dirty the whole time and nowhere to get clean 2) I think the idea of cutting of the wrist band for a prorated reduction is a great idea. It aint fair for people to pay $70 to jump for 2 days. 3) Where the hell were the freefly organizers?????? 4) Put the bar and beer cart inside the tent so i dont have to leave the party and/or get wet to get some of the beer i paid $70 for. 5) The big yellow arrow should have been there from day 1.. They should actually use something that lies flat on the grouns instead of that thing that looked like a missle. I know it was made out of cardboard but a fast landing 30+ mph is still going to hurt if you hit that thing. 6) I didnt get to jump the pac or the sirkorsky.. i understand the sirkosky had fire duty and that is more imortant than the WFFC but what happnened to the Pac???? Thank god John Edows brought the news chopper.. that was pretty cool 7) The goodie bag sucked. thats not the reason why i go either but you come to expect at least a T-shirt which is what other boogies mostly give for a MUCH LOWER registration fee 8) the food was way to expensive albeit the trailer supermarket was awesome!!! 9) golf carts at night with 12 year old kids driving is way dangerous.. almost as dangerous as the nuts trying to dirt dive between a couple of carts. at 2am 10) The party was way lame..... I was expecting to see some serious mayhem which never really came.. although the couch burning on sat night was pretty cool.... 11) In addition to the sinks i think water fountains or at least coolers are a MUST to help avoid dehydration...it was like haydees for a couple of days Now that the constructive criticism is done with the positive points: 1) the people in rantoul are really great. I have never seen a town so pro-skydiving. The airport itself is perfect for the event. It should not go anywhere for a long time. 2) The vendors that were there treated me great. 3) I hardly ever had to wait for a load to go up!!! 4) There were plenty of portopotties and they were cleaned daily 5) The cops stayed out of everybody's way (or at least mine) 6) BOunce Burgers are very tasty So in recap everyone can always do things better. So these are just suggestions from my point of view, considering this was my first convention take them with a grain of salt. I will be back and I would do it all over again if given the chance. Blue Skies and cya next year! dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  22. so what is the attachment point like on an Icon? I am about to order a new rig which I plan to use for freefly and wingsuit. I want a Pud, but after reading this thread am confused. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks, Dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  23. i had to make a jump just like that when one of my wings came loose... i just took in my arms and spread my legs. the forward speed was awesome albeit a bit unstable... I like the ease and safety features of the suit. I think it is great for learning on. I am a big guy though and do not think the suit has enough wing for me... but thats probably cause I only have like 10 WS jumps... so what would I know anyway.... just my $.02 whicha are probably only worth $.005 peace, danny b HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  24. I want to thank all of the birdmen and especially scott for giving me a great first flight course. I really had an awesome time flying all the diferent suits and I plan on ordering one in the next couple of months... I finally reached one of my goals at the WFFC,... becoming a birdman. I hope I can make it up to Zhills in the near future and work on my flocking skillz. I know the convention was slow but it was awesome in my opinion. Thanks again guys and any of you are welcome at my place in Puerto Rico. The boogie is in Feb. and it kicks ass... come on down!!! BLue Skies! Dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
  25. The dude came by the birdman tent while I was there to yell about keeping the walls all rolled up and not on the floor.. . he did not actually yell.. to tell you the truth he was actually cool about it and helped roll them up the way he wanted them kept.. Sorry i did not think of getting his name and phone #... Blue skies and good luck, dan HISPA 72 ----- "Muff Brother" 3733
