Gettin a new phone... lookin at the Imate Jam. Anyone have one of these? Whats it like compared to Ipaq or other PDA phone?

Try pulling the front risers of a student canopy down...! The higher riser pressure is a good thing - especially on canopies like Velo's and VX's. I helped out on a test program a couple years back for a manufacturer who had a new elliptical 9 cell. Front riser pressure was real light - so light in fact that when you pulled them down (as you would any other canopy) the nose completely collapsed / folded under rest of the canopy! Scary shit - specially if you were at 800 feet!!

Yeah, I read the comments by Arcteryx - looks real promising!! Definitely want to demo it when it is available... As for a X brace from Aerodyne? Man, I would be SUPA STOKED!!! For now my Velocity is still my best friend though , even when she opens like a biatch!

I am in a dillema and have no other choice but to ask my fellow fallers-out-the-sky-people... I will turning the BIG 30 in a couple weeks, and everyone is asking what I'm doing... too many ideas floating around my head and do not know which one to go for! Any suggestions for a kick ass party appreciated. And the winning idea will get an invite and perhaps a plane ticket if you too far away !

I have seen a couple threads on here a while back about the Mamba from Aerodyne... anyone know anything else about it? Like when demo's will be available, sizes, cost, performance etc... I'm thinking that with all the ads in the mags and on the inet, that a lot of hype is being created without much first hand knowledge about the canopy... I like Aerodyne as a company - they seem to be pro-active and advanced as a manufacturer and their products definitely fit the bill in terms of being among the best you can get, so I am lookin forward to seeing the Mamba in action!

Does anyone have any info on the African freefall convention? I hear it is going to be pretty big, with CASA's, Antonov and possibly a C-130? Who's going?

I have to vent!!! I've gott have the worst luck when it comes to keepin a cellphone. I'm now on about my tenth phone in about 2 years after losing, breaking having it stolen etc... This morning, while getting into an elevator, my phone slips out my hand STRAIGHT into the gap between the elevator floor and edge of the building floor. Now, its bad enough to lose the damn thing in that way, bt the elevator maintenance guys wanted to charge me 600 bucks to unlock the door at the bottom of the shaft to retreive the pieces! F*ckin great start to the weekend!!! peace out!

I have heard of that happening before.... I wear contacts as well and have never had the prob before, and have done many hop and pops and short delays without goggles and my contacts have stayed in. On another note, I have jumped without my contacts ONCE before, and that was like driving blindfolded for me!!! Lets just say that landing was an interesting one...

Gotta tell you I did my 10th nude skydive 2 weeks ago - WOW!!! What a blast! 6 of us went up and had too much fun. Anyone who has not done a nekkid skydive just does not know what they are missing. Hopefully next time some o the girls will join us as well, but the boys had a good time anyway...

Hackey's are great... provided they are small enough and lightweight enough to not cause a problem. I like the one's that Aerodyne makes... small and light - never given me a prob.
