good question as it is a serious and responsible task. I've seen everything from pivoting arrows,, to mega-phones and then eventually, to ONE way radios..... ( That always puzzled me as I thought it would be Fun !!! if the students could talk Back !!

based on what I have read and photos I can remember... I will say Bob Sinclair...Cross pull on his arm...the gear, the confidence to fly That Helmet.... and what little can be seen of his face,,, Looks to me like a younger version of the pleasant and interesting guy that a shared a conversation with, a few years ago, while On a DZ...... never pro packed it...John, because I simply never Learned How..... It was a Big canopy and lots of material to work with... Never had a Mal. with 2 different RW Challenger 240s that I had.... maybe 1250 jumps total on them.... Still flat pack...... ( the last 15 years or so, using a PD Spectre ... Zero mals.... on them too....

I'm with you. I wished I could have worked another year-ish as a controller. Really loved that job. I can understand... I have a brother, an ATC @ Newark and then the last 20 years or so at Dulles... who "retired" as per age regulations.....He too always liked the work, even the few years when he worked Radar ... at a place just south of Wash. DC...... So he made some inquiries and learned of a Private Contractor who oversees All the "ramp traffic".. fuel vehicles, baggage carts, towmotors, cleaning and food service trucks,,,,, AT Dulles... and Now, works for Them... He enjoys his work, likes being on the airport grounds ( Who Doesn't ?? ) Is able to collect his pension AND still earns a paycheck.... He says " I still work in a "control tower" but it is Not nearly as far OFF the ground , as I was used to."..

Once again it is looking like a Presidential Election with POOR choices , all around... Hillary has WANted that job since before Bill had it... Trump Now wants it..... because his huge ego presses him to Go For it... I have been paying attention to H Clinton for a long time, and she is a pretender....Slick speeches and a " Public Persona " which seems to me to be TOO contrived. From what I have read and surmised,, she can be nasty and vicious to underlings and staff members... She is too much about Herself.... AND she's basically Dishonest no matter HOW you try to spin it. The Donald has always been a Go-Getter.. and I don't fault someone, for that... BUT I think in his case,,, it's about GETTING the job,,, and then Not so much about DOING it..... C'mon,,, why in the world would he trade his cushy life-style, the ability to come and go as he pleases,,, and having to answer to No One... For a 24 / 7 anchor around his neck.... No NO. these two are both celebrities now ,, more than they are politicians,,, and it might be better for EVERYONE ( themselves included ) if they both shifted their focus into Public Philanthropy.... Use their power, influence and money generating capabilities, to foster good works, and public initiatives, soas to Deliver what they EACH have been promising,,,,, but OUTSIDE of the constraints, the enemies, and the scrutiny of the Press/Media.... which certainly would Jam them UP.... IF they were operating as the POTUS..... Some of the current candidates who are running behind,,,, and even some who have withdrawn would actually make for a better choice for the voting public.... I'm Not very happy with the direction this election year is going...

thanks Spence I went to the site and found the info for tent sizes and costs,,, but wasn't sure how to accomplish an order there.. sorry. So could you put me down for a 20 by 30 @ 3 bills... and as far as those " Cah-Ned - E -Yens " NO problem !!!

CSpenceFLY... i'll cover the cost of one tent if it's reasonable... and then share its use with a few other up jumpers who like me,,,, maybe wanna pack for themselves.... It can also help to keep the main packing tent less crowded for the "packers" who are working.. and for fun jumpers who hope for the availability of pack job space..... This smaller tent could then also allow for some extra space, for folks to set their rigs, in the shade... without overloading the MAin P. Tent...

I was simply looking for an airplane ride..... I had just turned 19. Never in a jet, or a passenger plane or a small plane.... saw an Ad... 50 bucks for the first jump course...at the college, where I was a soph. the town had an airport 3 miles south of campus, where we jumped. The informational meeting was well attended and they showed a 16 mm movie... Masters of the Sky

great Job,,,, to follow through with Your quest !!! to this successful result..... any info, that you might share, regarding rate of climb? loads per tach hour? fuel burn per tach hour ? it's been my observation that the exhaust port,,, off a turbine puts out Big Time HEAT..... mostly noted when boarding a running aircraft, on a busy day....IS the exhaust on the 206 conversion an Issue, for jumpers using a step of the U206 ??? OR is it a NON Factor??? have a great 2016 season. jmy

it could have something to with the Mass to Surface Area Coefficient. A short person who weighs in at 200 pounds AND has short arms... i.e. wingspan, will fall faster in a basic (flat ) freefall position, than a 200 pounder who is tall and with much longer arms and legs ..... We talk about canopy aspect ratio but seldom have I see described,,,, any concept of "freefall weight to surface area " Such a ratio is seldom considered , let alone spoken about.... small surface area and small mass... might fall compatibly with a large surface area having Larger mass.... as long as a similar "balance ' is achieved. I.e. an " area to mass ratio " By the same token, small surface area with Large mass... will Rocket while Large surface area and small mass... will float....( Relatively speaking ) Jumpsuits can increase or decrease surface area and weightbelts can increase mass..... gravity IS gravity and we know that it is a Law...But we skydive in a non vacuum and so wind resistance and drag, also come into play.....as well as body position exposed to "the relative wind" All these things can increase or decrease Velocity...

Wow... whether the weather will weather us....or NOT ,,, is the big topic of conversation around here looks Like NOT ... at least through the REST of This year Dec 31st ,, and the lawns are still green,, ( we got a small burst of snow a few nights ago,,,which has Now all melted ) In fact lettuce from seed,,, which I scattered in my garden in May,,, has recently sprouted and I can Pick a small handful of fresh salad fixings ANY day now....!!! It HAS been getting cold enough at night for the Ski places to make snow,,,,, so my friends and family who Like to ski will SOON be able....... depending on the size of the dz...I have noticed that some "instructors, riggers and DZOs " might have a Financial interest in selling gear.... or in filling video slots,,,, and so they MAY.... " encourage " new gear purchases, and may "steer"... those with that MAGIC 200 jump minimum... to Press ahead with downsizing.... donning a camera, etc. etc... for motives Not fully understood by the novice/intermediate level jumpers who sometimes feel "special" because of it.... Being Carefullllll is a great survival tool... just sayin' Upsize ??? Downsize??? why can't we just stick with the Right Size???? jmy A 3914 D 12122
