Anyone with Common Sense, Must know that areas NEAR airports WILL be exposed to certain amounts of Noise from said aircraft..... IF a "developer" buys unoccupied land Near an airport,,,,,maybe because it is at a reduced price, and they Cannot Put 2 and 2 together to REALIZE,,, why it might be at a reduced price, then they may "sleep in the bed that they made " .... sheesh..anyone buying a house ANYwhere, needs to do their "due diligence" and take into account, such things as neighbors, the various businesses nearby and maybe WHY the property was being offered, at "such a bargain price" To BUY, and move in, and then try to RALLY the entire community, to CHANGE things which were Already there,,,, is selfish,,, narcissistic and downright idiotic... When I am up in the air in a skydiving aircraft, what I am Always aware of,,, is the fact that while we are Told,,,, all the land is "taken Up" there are " No Open spaces anymore ".... Population growth and urban sprawl has " Used up all the vacant areas... " I STILL SEE many Many square Miles of Undisturbed land,, Undeveloped spaces, and woods and fields, Totally Unoccupied..... Maybe developers should re-focus on Those tens of thousands of acres and homeowners who want to find Quiet peaceful properties, "without disturbance " (whatever THAT means ) NEED to GO to the more remote places...and Build THERE.. I could only take a few minutes of that video. The woman lives in her own little world,,, and should be Glad that she didn't move in next door to a Landfill, or a pig farm, or a chicken farm. During her " home search " perhaps she was distracted by the " 2 and a half baths," and "finished basement " etc etc. Her inability to LEARN,,,,about what was happening around and Above her,,,is her own damn Fault imho How Dare she waste the time, resources , and public funding which are Now being spent on a selfish, frivolous and Unnecessary and protracted legal struggle....Does she NOT have a Job???? does she NOT have a Life????? She reminds me of the folks we see on the daily JUDGE Shows on TV... a person who compiles Pages and pages, Folders and Folders, Hours and HOURS of "evidence and / or documents "... every bit of which is slanted and stilted to HER point of view.... totally idiotic.... anyway..... we'll be watching. jmy

sure.....tens of thousands of skydivers.... Static line first Jump...which was a sensible system, since the main was Gonna Open ( for the Most part ) regardless of the first jump students composure, or lack thereof ....The concentration was on canopy control and EXITS at that stage... Then 4 more SLs including 3 DRCPs ( dummy rip cord pulls )... Then freefall,, If you want to call a 5 second delay a freefall tandem wasn't yet invented,,,,,,, for me it was 1972.... and a " Tandem " meant a piggy-back harness/container set up. ..... A decade or so, later,,,when What we NOW know as tandem became common and accepted.... Most of Those early tandem Instructers had likely begun THEIR careers , as static Liners....

We were lucky enough to ATTEND the Broncos-Bills game Dec of 2014. The Demo team made a GREAT performance and were a Crowd favorite..... GOOD idea, to have some Prominent citizens of the area, chime In.... I am nervous,, and a bit uncertain....... about the idea of having ONE person i.e. the Judge, make this decision.... I sure Hope that HER HONOR,,,,, is blessed with some common sense...

slight sidenote... be sure to properly stow all the seatbelts, (NOT buckled together ,,, ) prior to climbout... I Once witnessed the DAMAGE done ( once the Bird had landed ) to a fine paint job of a million dollar aircraft... Because a Buckle from a seat belt,,, went out the door, to the full length of the strap, and was banging the hell out of the area just aft of the door..... for the ENTIRE descent... not only chipped away a LOT of paint, but also left many pock marks in the skin beneath the paint.... IF we WANT to jump out of them, we MUST be considerate NOT to HURT Them... be safe.

just because there exists, a College Nationals Championship, that is not an indication that Skydiving is a "college sport"...In the past, there WERE many universities who "sponsored" a college club, or whose Student recreation dept, allowed for such clubs, much like they would allow skiing clubs, and intramural programs... But In Todays, "nervous & jerky " world of paranoia over "potential litigation", they seem to have faded... I was a happy participant at the national College Parachuting Championships in 1974 at DeLand Florida. I was 21 and a full time student... The league simply recognizes Jumpers who happen to BE college kids. While the various Military Academies Always boasted the largest, best equipped and best trained teams. Many Colleges are/were represented by Sole jumpers, or a pair of jumpers, who happen to Be students there... I don't think it was EVER intended to BE a nationwide endorsement for Skydiving teams for all types of general subject universities... Is your son, who is 17, a college student?? is he Full time?? if yes, then I would think he is qualified to enter the meet. I entered, 40 years ago, with Just an A License... A3914. today SOME disciplines might require a higher license, might not.. The College Nationals are a good things. If attendance numbers are down... maybe just a bit More in the way of notification ABOUT the annual event, and publicity about the benefits of entering, need to be circulated among those College kids, for whom the meet IS intended.. I know I had a Great time and met Many Fine Folks,( Mike Truffer in particular ) when I had the opportunity to Enter.. And so I would encourage any and all participants.... jmy A 3914 D12122

good question... and we SHOULD be realistic in determining our own "fitness"... generally speaking,,,, the better condition one is IN... the easier/safer their experience will be. Chub-a-Lubs can get by, on a tandem, because most of the WORK is done by others.... On solo jumps, it's a different story... Start when you're young & fit, and chances are better, than IF you begin when you Might BE older and Less fit.... ( not to say that Age and UNfitness ALWAYS go together... ) ( I bet Jack LaLanne (sp). could do a great job ) as for What Part of the body ??? needs to be In Good Shape?? easy..... Your Brain !!! jmy

back in the mid 70s,, we used to make LOTS of jumps into the Finger Lakes and/or Lake Ontario.. So this one time ......... I made a water jump......No shirt, no helmet No shoes, Just a cheapo rig and cut off jeans. Welll..... I MISSED the Water Pretty Good NSTIWTIWGD story

Thanks Bob Martin ( and others) for getting Frontier Skydivers "off the ground " decades ago..... Which has made it possible for us to get Off the ground,,, today.... bsbd... jmy

I don't recall GWB going into a war zone and claiming he was shot at, or exaggerating what actually happened. of course he never claimed to be in a war zone.... because he was " a chickenshit " but a chickenshit WITH connections and even then he had a tough time to meet his responsibilities WITH the national guard.... I pay attention as i go through my day to day world.... which Includes WORKING.... Hard work, for not such great compen$ation..... Unemployment Numbers are Bullshit and are a smokescreen designed to instill a "false sense of accomplishment " The country is in Poor condition, when it comes to employment... I have been suggesting for Decades.. that a SIMPLE POLL be conducted of ALL Adults,,, male & female of the ages of 18 to 58 and ONE simple question be asked. " Do YOU Currently have a J O B of at least 32 hours per week " ??? Plain and simple.. I drive through my city and nearby towns and SEE a TON of people in the above mentioned age categories,,,, mostly Accomplishing Nothing, all day Long.. ( Loitering,,, Is NOT a job ) I would honestly state. that our rate of NON workers ( in those age categories ) is greater than 50 % !! hell maybe it's 70 %... Factoring IN everyone who NEVER had a Job... is Not Looking for a JOB, has been "laid OFF " from a job and Gave UP and who Has ZERO skills.. for acquiring a JOB..add in those on welfare and social services,,, ( who mistakenly THINK ,,, THAT is their Job ) and the numbers i mention COULD very WELL be accurate... It's Ludicrous.... Within the city areas a TON of people do NOT work... hell many cannot even speak english, nor read & write.. It's a Sad SAD thing..... Even in Upper crust neighborhoods where the "man of the house" is knocking down 100 K a year,, when THAT occurs, you can be damn sure that the missus is "coasting on his tailcoats " ,, and more concerned with getting her nails done and her Next tennis lesson, than she IS with Going to WORK.... Hell most these 'queen bees' no longer even Do House work.... Instead They have elevated themselves to some High society rank and therefore are able to have even housework, done by some "domestic" cleaning lady.. ( who is likely the ONLY worker in a family of 4 or 6 or More...) So right there In THAT Upper middle class household the unemployment rate IS 50 %...The guy works the lady doesn't... Yeah Yeah.. i KNOW that is NOT HOW the rate is calculated... and it has to do with "recently unemployed, re-acquiring a Job " etc etc Blah Blah BLAH !!!!.. Still the REALITY is waaaay different THan the Blather, we have been fed... Accuracy, Honesty, TRUTH.... have been NOwhere to be seen for many MANY years now,,, It's ALL about spin doctoring, statistical manipulation, twisting of " data " and proliferation of Pure 100% Bullshit... in other words Business as usual for Government Agencies... tasked with determining these numbers... I've seen that attitude before, but don't agree with it. I've had tandem passengers make 6-7 tandems over the years, just for fun, with no desire to be a skydiver. Fine and dandy.

I think that i HAVE seen that commercial before and then as well as NOW, I totally Loved the way the younger Girls showed spirit and energy and PRIDE..... Not at all Unlike what i have seen from Family & friends who are Both "girls " And a Fine example of Self confidence....

Yes that nationwide commercial WAS very sad. ( water overflowing from a bathtub ) Can anyone EXPLAIN to us,,,,,, just HOW an insurance company "keeps kids safe ">?????? It seems to me, that they are only On the scene....AFTER tragedy occurs...I don't get it... The Fiat/Viagra ad was cute... and the Dove commercial "Like a Girl " was Eye-opening and inspiring at the same time...
