Looking forward to Superbowling today and seeing how many strikes and spares each team scores "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

With the latest AAD issue putting Cypres under the microscope it makes me wonder why someone would voluntarily subject themselves to the rants of skydivers complaining about an AAD not being perfect, service not being immediate, and since they paid for the device it should be perform perfectly and without flaw always and forever. Sure you want this pain? "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

And I'll bet the sport market is probably tiny compared to the military market. If so, I suggest that they would recall military units first. Gotta keep those gov't customers happy "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

cool... I checked the Jumpshack site and I could find pics of the toggles, but I couldn't find pics of the risers. Would love to see pics. I think this is a great idea and I'd love to learn more "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

Help save British Columbia skydive club.

From Pacific Skydivers facebook page "Thank you everyone for your support during this difficult time. Ian has decided we are done running a dropzone on the Pitt Meadows Airport. Our relationship with the Airport management is beyond repair and it is time to accept that our time here is over. It is our hope that skydiving can continue in Pitt Meadows under new leadership and are pleased to support Shane M with his plan to open his own DZ. Again, thank-you for your patronage, love and support over the past 26 years and lets all give Shane our support. Ian & Deb" sad day for skydiving in Canada "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy -
at the end of the article it sounds like there is still a chance for Pitt to stay open "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

which altimeter to buy for beginner skydiver
IanHarrop replied to dpfire29's topic in Gear and Rigging
I agree with your choice of an Alti-2 Galaxy but I suggest that under 200 feet you need to be using your eyes So this: ... shouldn't be a problem. You're only seconds from landing at 200 feet -
this thread too http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=4432675;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread Not everyone has his results... some of us have a lot less so it might be him "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

not much to go on in their profile... except that who ever it is walks on water, or at least I assume they do based on the map of where they live ;-) http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?username=Coreece; "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

Canadian moved to the US, what do I need to do?
IanHarrop replied to Blink's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
As a Canadian skydiver is pretty common knowledge that travel insurance for a jumping trip to the USA is a necessity. Depending on the source it can be pretty cheap, a couple of bucks a day. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy -

if she comes out and learns to pack, she could help pay for your jumps! Problem solved "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

goes both ways Quase: You use two different email addresses and two different names, and you expect the seller to sort the mess out. Just glad I don't know you... I'd be embarrassed if you were one of my friends "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

Using the NMU software: On the N3 you can design your own series of tone alarms On the N3A you can record your own voice alarms Be aware that at this time the NMU software only runs on Windows "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

The standard N3 does not emit "verbal" sounds. It does however emit a series of tones You can read about it in the manual here http://forum.altimaster.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=5 Page 19 has detailed information on the alarms available on the N3 You can also post questions about Alti-2 products here: http://forum.altimaster.com/forum.php "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

I think its being suggested that jumps are already expensive ($45) so people tend to save $$$ on packing and do it themselves "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
