  4. Did you say rookie team???!!!!! Just grab 3 folks and sort it out as you go. Rookie teams in the leauge are for just that! If you get too caught up too soon in trying to make it perfect the first time you'll never be willing to try it again if it doesn't work out. Go play. Keep it all smiles, and remember, you learn more in the failure of "doing" than in the success of "trying". Pam ________________________________________
  5. Coolio!! Congrats and good health to you all!! Pam ________________________________________
  6. 12 is no worries for you JP - we're in Intermediate. And we'll help you remember to slate. Last year they had boards up at the loading tents, which was a huge help. Pam ________________________________________
  7. Damn - I missed the Corona Light! I was with Stuart & Karen though, and if you guys had left any, I coulda had one Sunday ! Stuart's done with the surgical crap and stood up today for the first time since the surgery, and only like the 3rd time since his landing. PM me and I'll update ya! It'll be a long recovery, but he should be okey dokey if he takes it easy. Pam ________________________________________

  9. Yippee!! Let's make it a fabulous great time! Come join us, Y'all! Can't wait to meet you, Mouth! And Joe up there is too cook for school - did you see his photo on the Band's website? And, man, can he run!
  10. I got kitties... yup... But all my pictures are too big - I think I need a photo editor... Sigh... I'd offer to show you my puppies, but Randy frowns on that unless it's for altitude... P. ________________________________________
  11. The dude with the back injury will be very excited that people think he has 1000 jumps! The turbulence on the field was worse than what we had in that field. We had the far better choice of landing areas! It's great to land with a group when you are landing off - and we're glad you landed with us AND with your coach! Plus the field is huge, bigger than the other field you were eying, and oriented better into the wind away from turbulence causing obstructions. Now we just need to get the key to that new gate for Rob!! Oh, Corona Lights are always nice. Ill bring the limes... WELCOME ABOARD Pam - "Setting the landing pattern for off-field landings everywhere..." ________________________________________
  12. Carolina Sky Sports has a Thanksgiving Boogie. Jim Smith and others are organizing and Guy Wright is holding an invitational. Great dinner available at the DZ Thanksgiving night! PM me of you want more details! Pam ________________________________________
  13. First - add a week. 5 days is NOT enough to do anything even on one island!! If they want to do more than one it definitely takes 10 + days. The islands look small and close together on a map, but this is deceiving. They aren't. Kauai is unbelievable. Search for B&B's - almost everybody's house is one, due to the price of real estate there. They are cheaper than hotels, are in residential areas, so you really see the island, and you have an insider right there to help with restaurants and "off the beaten path" ideas for things to do. We stayed at one that had a great pool, view (and sounds) of a waterfall from the bedroom, and the owner was a massage therapist. It was difficult to even leave the house! Kauai has a canyon as deep as the Grand Canyon, fabulous hiking on the Na'Pali Coast east side, the wettest place in the world in the Na'Pali which has higher altitude views on the west side, just truly amazing. The north end of Kauai is so rugged that there isn't a road that goes all the way around - although they did try to build one. The result is a state park and a nice wide hiking trail at the north-west end.
  14. Thanks again Jake - Although I hesitate to say it, you were great this weekend

  17. Thanks to all of you who contributed to a very successful and fun weekend! I had an absolute BLAST flying with you all. Brenda and I were overwhelmed at your energy and willingness to throw it all out there into the wind and learn new things. Jake and Heather did everything we asked and more, and you have great pics and video for showing off your new skills!! Thanks again, hugs, and hopefully see you all soon - Pam ________________________________________
  18. So now I know who you are!! I met you after the above-mentioned hydrolic hanging. for me 1:5:6:5 One year since great friend's fatal accident , 11 camp jumps with the ladies (and daGimp) on the weekend, then 5 various and sundry RW jumps from the Casa on the Holiday Monday. There was certainly a lot going on at CSS - thanks for the boomers, CoconutMonkey!! Pam ________________________________________
  19. Kelly rocks, and her work has mass appeal - maybe not zen-like meditate-for-relaxation-before-lawyer-robs-me blind kinda stuff - but really cerebral... Pam ________________________________________

  21. Incredible! I had to call Randy into the room to see the photo of the Cessna flying up the glacial valley. Thanks for sharing the wonderment! (what? no latex suit?) Pam ________________________________________
  22. [reply Chicks Rock, etc is about comraderie/fun. Fraternities/Sororities have a different function. They provide tutoring, mentoring, and social functions that may impact your business future after graduation. Membership in a fraternity is more than social. Frats have job connections. The two are different situations. I have to say, the Women's record is what got me on co-ed record attemps and invitational events around the country. So for me, the jump with chicks was about being mentored and making connections! I have skydiving goals as well, and the chicks got me an inroad towards one of them... I'm trying to pay it forward by mentoring other women - not really intentionally, they just see what I do, how I love doing it, and they ask me how they can get there too. If I had guys asking me that, I'd do the same for them. But they seem to ask the boys... Let's not let up here! There are all RW jumps, and all Freefly jumps and *gasp* HYBRID dives! I get the concept here, I just see a Mars/Venus. Rox ________________________________________
  23. Where was mine, you cheater!! No calls, no shots, sigh. And you question my loyalty? Rox ________________________________________
