  1. I've already consulted with the league director on plane line-ups for the meet this weekend, boys... Look out, Chester!! Little girls and big boys at play! Pam ________________________________________
  2. That depends on who's tequila you're drinkin' there! I've had some "no lime required" shots in the party lot there (Kate's), and really bad stuff that needed three limes out at dinner (The Library)... ________________________________________
  3. I was there - I heard it. She said it, Jake!! Of course she was buyin' so I'm not saying anything more... Pam ________________________________________

  7. OK, girlie - HTF do you get to do this at work! I was dying just keeping up with our emails today, and now I see you're in here midday?? And you can't get Fridays off? Oh, man. I want your job...
  8. That's my bed buddy Got her all warmed up for ya. For the tunnel that is! Oh, yeah!! Mar always gets me hot. Maybe everyone will see, maybe not And see me sportin' my Foxiest purple, I might add... Inside and out ________________________________________
  9. All people have to do is see your chin and it won't be an inside joke And again, we're back to Nightingale and her fab makeup - wind-blocking, close-up viewing, rig-docking foundation and all! My question - did SHE leave a mark? Pam ________________________________________
  10. Do whatever you can to stay current and keep jumping. If students are the issue there, remember that once you aren't a student, you can go back to your "home" DZ ready to go!! I'm sure they would support you with that - we've all been students, and we all love to jump! Rox ________________________________________
  11. What bothers me most about this is if you don't at least occasionally pack for yourself, when are you checking the condition of your gear - only when you are under it? I pay packers a lot. My hands and wrists thank me for this, but I make a point to pack for myself every now and again (this weekend I flipped everyone out and packed all 10 times!) and give everything I can see and touch a good look-over. Most packers will notice only the most glaring issues - they are too busy to notice much else. Rox ________________________________________
  12. You guys kick butt. All this math is great brain food, and great learning, all the while addressing a most valid topic. Rox. ________________________________________
  13. I heard it on the plane this weekend, too. From a very experienced jumper who's never been a JM. Of course I jump where the freeflyers leave first, so .... Maybe I shouldn't be surprised. Rox ________________________________________
  14. He's at Carolina Sky Sports in North Carolina March 19-21. Intro class Fri or Sat, Advanced camp Sun. Must have Intro to take Advanced. PM me if it's in your reach & I'll send $$ and phone # info. Pam ________________________________________
  15. Saw the rough versions and the final. It is true - every jumper on the load has a speaking part !! ________________________________________
  16. You kill me! Indeed - I agree! Even with full-face helmets, you can tell by the eyes what's going on in there! If you aren't with the game, you aren't in the game! ________________________________________
  17. Been there done that with a more experienced person with this same type of thought process. We took him on his last jump last September. Slow arching turn too low to the ground - not even an abrupt crank - just too low. Sigh - tell him how you feel about him now, so when he's gone, you can be at peace with that at least. 18. He siad "snatch"! But seriously, I had two Sabres - they are still flying out there. They both were great - dunno if it was packing, the line sets, whatever - don't care. Only gave it up to go air-locked for stability in turbulence to exmand my jumping environment. My Sabre kept me on the ground in some conditions that my Vengence lets me fly right through. for most of the time I owned them, though, the sabres were kind to me! 19. On my team we give each other thumb-print bruises from dirt-dives and creeping. The otter doors give HUGE bruises to the ineer thigh if you are a camera person or rear rear float. Heinous. I used to live with perpetualy leg-strap bruises until I got a custom container. Ahhhhh.... Rox ________________________________________
  20. Hmm, I'm getting a little warm here... ________________________________________
  21. Staff, pilots and maintenance folk at the DZ where I jump all get some sort of discount - varied by DZO discretion. I've seen many a person abuse the "free organizer" slot thing, though, at the expense of those being organized. My pet peave on the subject: Organizer: You guys are the base, you guys dock here, here, and here, and I'll dive out last and dock here. Oh, yeah, you can really teach people and help improve their skills through organizing that way! I truly believe the actual staff (read:instructors, regular manifest help) earn every dollar of discount the DZO can muster. Rox ________________________________________
  22. Please don't start spelling like and American - I'll miss those silly little "s's" where a "c" should be!! ________________________________________
  23. I jumped in the tunnel in FL when it was 29 degrees outside. I'd do the same in NC. Plastic garbage bag in the jump suit, neoprene gloves, and hand warmers taped up under the chamber seats. Not great, but tunnel time is tunnel time. And 29 degrees in NC is usually reserved for Dec., Jan, and Feb. early mornings only. Average highs even in Jan bottom out in the mid 40's, and are into the 50's by middle Feb. PM me for a chat about a possible NC investor. We know someone that has asked MANY questions about it in the past. Other viable investors, location, market research would be important info for them... Pam ________________________________________
  24. Happy Birthday Brenda!!!!!! {{{{{{{{{{{{{{drink more tequila vibes}}}}}}}}}}} ________________________________________
  25. Only a gold medalist could attempt to fill those shoes! Go Kate - You've never "been a victim" and we're rooting for ya. Also rooting for some sleep for you, because I believe you and some other ladies have some tequila shots to pose for, right Mar!? ________________________________________
