  2. Reminds me... ---- A guy dies & meets Petrus who tells him: You drank too much. You lied too often. You betrayed your wife. You'll have to go to hell. The guy begs & is ready to make every promise, but to no avail: he has to take the road to hell. very afraid, he arrrives & meets one of the devil's aids, who shows him around. What he sees is a nice beach with beautiful blonde babes strolling around. the devil's aid asks him: so, what would you like to drink? over there's our beach bar, you can have any drink you can imagine. the guy is still shy, avoids eye-contact with the beach-babes & turns down the offer for a drink. for a while he walks the beach alone & finds a deep hole with flames & people crying & wailing. "I knew it", he says to himself. He walks back to the devil's aid and asks him about the hole. the small red guy says: "oh that. i don't understand it either, but the boss said it's for the catholics. they kind of need it." ---- ;) Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)

  4. Though you may be right, I've spent the better part of my last 20 Months on dropzones & never seen it happen before. Spooky thing to watch, the body like a puppet in front of the TM... Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)
  5. ~999:2:0 ~999 is the estimated number of children i had to remove from the green of a stadion. being ground backup for an outlanding into a stadion is almost as exciting as flying in on your own ;) blue'skies chronistin Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)
  6. Last Sunday on our dropzone, a tandem passenger went unconscious in the air. The tandem master did a great job on that landing with her feet dangling down, looked a little messy but no one got hurt. We had a doctor on the spot, so the passenger was quickly taken care of. She walked away on her own feet after about 20 minutes. So, all's well that ends well, but it somehow got me thinking. How often do things like that happen? How dangerous is it for the tandem master & the passenger? Later we learned that she had never really wanted to jump but had been talked into it by friends. but she never said so (she had even answered yes to the question "do you want to jump?" just seconds prior to exit). Bad Judgement? Bad Luck? Just one of those things that happen occasionally? What do you think? Chronistin Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)
  7. Not to be picky, but do you find any logic in the fact that women paint their toenails? speaking of toenails, i'm trying to paint mine matching my canopy, but couldn't find yellow nailpaint yet. hm. still looking - and when i find it, i have to think how to paint 10 toenails like 9 cells (or should i just cut off one toe? 13. yep, that's right. what happenend? well, i spent an increasing amount of time hunting for skydiving news - wanting to be the first to post any german-language skydiving news. while there are a lot of sites doing that for the english-speaking skydiver (dropzone being my favorite), there is no comparable site for german-speaking people (skyger is at least trying: http://www.skyger.de). but i just can't afford to spend 3 or 4 hours a day hunting for all those skydiving related news... i had always thought that after a while, dzo's & their likes would start to send me their info, but it never happenend. maybe there's really no need for the kind of service i had in mind... or maybe it was just the wrong time to start it... or maybe it has to be done differently. we will see... greez Andrea || Chronistin Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)
  14. much better now! you'll have to excuse me, but when i figured out i couldn't send you all the beer i owe via my modem, i had to drink it all by myself. and now i just can't figure out how to get my profile-picture back in. any hints, anyone? thx chronistin Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)
