  1. Great stuff & kudos to you... all that is a lot of work, and the least you should know is that a lot of people appreciate it. [but somehow i still liked those little icons while they lasted ] Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)
  2. I really should sort & partially iron that huge heap of clothes in front of my closet... Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)
  3. Looks like a Karneol to me. Don't know if the word is the same in English, I couldn't find it in my dictionaries. Google image search: http://images.google.com/images?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=Karneol Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)
  4. As you were the first to answer, you win... the doubtful reputation of getting old! You are most probably right. I quoted from my twenty year old memory of the german version, translating underway. Still fascinating, how many people remember this. Or did you all see it on TV yesterday? 5. "The only way to win the game is not to play it." (And if you can place that quote, you're probably just as old as I am...) Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)

    My cat

I thought so. Just a case of too much words & not enough jumps on my side ...not to insist, but what would your wife say if you'd... ...don't answer! [I'll take a mental note to be doubly careful what I post after a sunny day of stupid paperwork]... Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)
  7. Yeah, I figured that much. what I was hoping for was a button like "Show all posting times in Poster'stime". Well, not really hoping for. Just imagining. Ahem. So, what time is it at your corner of the world? Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)
  8. Whhooops. That was not what I expected to hear! But somehow still right. Peace, Chronistin Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)
  9. I definitely would not call him a Darwin candidate. Sounds to me like he knows what he is doing, and, like most skydivers, accepts the risks that cannot be eliminated. Like we know that the main can malfunction, right? And, in spite of all precautions, there is an ever so small risk that the reserve might fail, too. Right? Do we stop jumping when we realize that? I don't. So, am I - are we all - a Darwin candidate? Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)
  10. [doing a little bit of googling] so, Pacific Time is UTC -8. And my Timezone is UTC +1. Adding this value to my profile, and... Lisa, you are absolutely right
  11. ...well, wherever you are right now? I'm posting this on Sunday, 23:13 (11:13 PM), while the system clock of dropzone.com says something like 2:13 PM. Is this 2:13 Sunday? Or Monday? &, second question, how many hours do you differ from dropzone's system time? or is there a way to adapt the time? My cat

Oh. maybe you should word that differently. For a moment I just sat here, trying to understand what your cat has got to do with you peeing in your bathtube drain. But probably, that's my lack of understanding English Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)
  13. Well, that depends on who is driving. Believe me, if you would know my boyfriend's driving, you would agree skydiving is safer. Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)

  17. Little Red Riding Hood, walking through the woods with the wolf, complained: "I'm afraid! It's so dark & creepy here!" & the wolf said: "What about me? I'll have to go all the way back ALONE!" Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)
  18. Whenever I get bored at a non-skydiving social event (and I get easily bored at non-skydiving social events), I start looking around for a landing area, wind indicators, obstacles... And I do that too at bus stations, etc. And sometimes I look up into the sky & think that there could be someone free falling towards me at that very moment (resulting from a jump when I exited almost directly above a small village & thought about how strange it is, all those people that do not even know that I am there. So, I think, it's kind of normal. Chronistin (Home @ http://www.fallschirmspringer.net/)
