Hello, the point is: A log book isn't going to save a dzo and a paid recurrency jump isn't going to save the skygod poser. Log books are not the solution to proving competency for a jump. They can be easily faked. As well as the reserve data card. As well as the call to my fake dzo in Canada. A quick "drivers test" oral and written would make more sense if one is really worried about liability from suicidal people with new Go Pros. I'm done with this topic. Going jumping.

My middle name is John...so I'll answer with yes. Currency is very important to any aviation activity no matter how many jumps you have. Trying to be as "bad ass" as you used to be on your first jump in 2 years is a bad idea. Doing it right after a paid recurrency jump is ok.
