You might try this: Stick your hands out in front of you like you are gripping a steering wheel. At once, turn the steering wheel real hard to one direction, and use your waist for torque. Should flip you right over. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!

I've got video of a few of my jumps on VHS. I'd like to be able to upload them to my computer to add to my growing collection of skydiving videos. Could anyone point me in the right direction of how to go about doing this? I'm pretty computer saavy, so you don't have to be too detailed... I'm sure others wouldn't mind knowing either. I bought mine from the DZ.com Jewelry Shop. It's very pimp. $20...it broke the other day, but I've safety pinned it back together. Is there any un-written codes amongst skydivers that you aren't supposed to wear these things till you have your license? I don't have my A yet, but I'm still wearing a necklace...is that bad? It's here! I ordered the backpack from the best gear shop in the world. (The best gearshop in the world is located in Deland, Florida in case you didnt' know. It's called TSO-D or The Skydiving Outlet-Deland) I mentioned in this thread that I wanted a rig-like backpack, and I got a PM from "Arlo", who works at TSO. She gave me all the details of how to obtain one. You can order a Javelin, Racer, or Vector backpack. They come in the color of your choosing, and cost $45 (that includes shipping). I ordered a Javelin, and chose Black and Yellow for the colors. It took two weeks from the time I ordered it, till the time I had it in my hand. The backpack itself is very cool. The flaps where the canopy would typical spring out of on a rig, open up to hold accessories on the backpack. It's a very quality item, and is probably going to look pretty pimp at the DZ, so for $45, it's a nice little deal. Again, if you want one of these, just PM "Arlo", she's the coolest member ever, super-nice, etc...she'll hook ya up. Divorce You may think I'm just being an asshole, and maybe I am, but ask yourself "which would I rather do? Stay home, or go to the DZ". If you answer "go to the DZ", then...why stay married? AggieDave- Awesome post. Very encouraging. I registered two weeks before my first SL jump this summer. I made the SL jump, and four more jumps before I came back to college. Right now, I'm saving up money, because I want to switch over to AFF and just dive-head first into the sport. My goals for the next year are: Get my A license Own my own rig Try to learn to sitfly Make at least 50 jumps and...find out what area of skydiving I really wanna get into. I'm just playing devil's advocate here: But anyone who checks your gear isn't doing it as a slam because you're a girl, or you haven't made 1,000+ jumps, they're simply doing it because they're a safe skydiver concerned with their fellow jumper's safety. It may also be possible that you are tightening your chest strap too much, seperating the rings, thus causing line twists. Try to not tighten the chest strap so much, I know that was the bastard behind my line twist problem. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!

I'm a co-creator of a message board (nubblies.net...don't go there, it sucks), and we have a chat room, that I have found to be quite popular. It's just an idea, I can completely rationalize you shooting it down...but I figured I'd bring it to the forefront at least to see what others thought about it.
