  1. I don't get it. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  2. My most recent one, clear and pull. Let go of the plane, went to pull, missed my ripcord, did a backflip on accident, finally pulled, felt the pilot chute go between my legs, one second later, looked up, beautiful canopy...phew. Hope the next one's better. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  3. Nice jump man. I love watching skydiving videos. I've got probably half of the stuff from skydivingmovies.com on my computer right now. Love it. Thanks for sharing. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  4. meltdown- Don't let it get to ya, I've only stood one of my five landings so far, the other four I went to my knees real quick and popped back up. Wait till that first stand-up landing. I know to these veterans it's no big deal, but when you're just starting, and you stand a landing, it's a great feeling, it really completes the jump. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  5. This has been more than I would've hoped to hear from you guys, God bless. Alright, if you old foggies wanna chime in and entertain us with your attempts to pick up chicks, go right ahead! Haha...keep it comin, I need all the help I can get. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  6. I'm a 19 year old male college student, and I'm not one to brag about myself to people, so not many people know I've started skydiving. But I can't help but wonder, do chicks dig skydivers? Or are they afraid of them? I need words of wisdom from you 25-35 year old 'fellas with a bit more experience than I. Let's hear it. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  7. It's a piece of cake, just buy a new one, take out your old one, put in the new one, and bam, you're done. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  8. Awesome commentary sducoach. I'm so pumped to get my freakin license, get in a few hundred jumps, and try out the wingsuit. It can't come soon enough. God bless. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  9. Good job Kris! Reading stuff like that reminds me of how much I love skydiving. Keep em scheduled. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  10. I KNOW! I am a HUGE Cubs fan, I almost cried watching them win today on TV. They must win the World Series, they just must. Go Cubbies. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  11. Well I have (some) money, and I'm not too patient, so I think I may be switching to AFF. Thanks to everyone for the advice, and keep it comin if you've got something to add. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  12. And roughly how much did each dive cost (I realize it varies from DZ to DZ, but humor me and ballpark it if you would). -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  13. I went through the same thing myself. You get used to it quickly. You also only hear about the really bad jumps, you don't hear about the tens of thousands of jumps that go off with out a hitch for every one jump that makes it in the incidents thread. You'll be alright, it'll just make you more aware. Fear is fuel. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  14. I was under the impression that AFF only made like 10 or so jumps before they got their license. What's all this talk of 25 jumps, I thought the whole idea of the program was to accelerate the licensing process. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  15. How many AFF jumps do you have to make before you get your license? (Assuming you do not fail any). And how much does it typically cost? Thanks. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  16. I'm five jumps into the static line program, and I've gotta be honest, I'm not a huge fan of it. The skydiving itself, I love, but I don't like the slow-ass format of the static-line system. Something about having five jumps under my belt, with about 2 total seconds of free-fall time just doesn't seem right. There are AFF guys out there with five jumps under their belt who are close to getting their A license. I can't even fathom the day I'll get my A license. So basically, I'm pondering switching over to AFF, and I'm looking for any words of wisdom from either side that can help me make the final decision. Thank you very much. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  17. Damn! 372-Way?! I'd to see the logistics of that. Good luck to you participating in such a thing next year. If it wasn't so far away, I'd come watch. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  18. Von- I'm with ya man, I've only made five jumps, but my least favorite part of every one of them is the plane ride up. My first jump was my first ride in a small plane, when my JM told me to "Get out", I smiled and said "gladly", and got the hell outta there. I gotta agree with whoever it was that said "if it is my time, it's my time". I've learned to just chill out on the ride up and worry more about focusing on my jump. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  19. I play poker, do stand-up comedy, and run marathons.
  20. This thread inspired a dream last night, tell me if it's plausible: There is a huge wind tunnel built on Earth, I'm talking really huge, like 100 yards in diameter even. You jump out of a plane wearing a wingsuit, without a parachute. And when you get close to Earth, you use the windtunnel as a means of slowing you down before impact. Thus, you can land without a chute. Is this even remotely possible? -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  21. Kevin- I'm a newbie skydiver, so I'm still probably a couple of years away from really getting into wingsuit jumping (one of the main reasons I got into this sport to begin with), but I just wanted to take the time to say thanks for starting this thread. I've nearly pissed myself at the thought of jumping out of a plane without a chute. I will say this, in my little world, I would be willing to wager that no more than 20 years from now, someone will jump out of a plane wearing nothing but a wingsuit, land on the ground, and be a-okay. I'd love to try it someday :) Best of luck to ya. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  22. Does anyone know of a good FREE skydiving screensaver out there available for download? I'm getting sick of these stupid pipes on my screensaver :) Thanks in advance. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  23. Interesting. But still I don't get it. What is it that goes wrong during deployment that causes a 10G rush? -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  24. I've never had a really hard opening before, so I have no idea how to fathom this. Anyone who has had a 10G opening, describe the what/where/why/how's of it, because my wildest imagination can't come up with something that would make an opening pull 10Gs. Thanks -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
  25. Yeah, I did. They said "they weren't sure if there was one or not". What the hell is that? You'd think they'd know. Maybe they're super-wuffos who want nothing to do with supporting a skydiving club?? -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
