  4. Cool! Thanks ianmdrennan! Here is a link to download the jump from USA-Team Round #1. Clicking it will begin a download of the jump on film. Each one is about 6mb. http://www.mondial03.com/FFM_USA_Devore_Nelson_R1.rm Can I hear a huge "BRAVO!!!!" for these dudes! Wow!
  5. One is Creg Amrine and one is Bobby's. By the way, you can download any of these and more from the Orange site here: http://www.freeflyorange.com/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=11
  6. Who ever these people are, I hope that they catch them. They sound really bad. Are they terrorists?!!!
  7. No Question! We need to see some video now, please.
  8. The bonehead gunner is the correct site to it. Below is a link for the homepage. None of the product links are working at this point... Try going to the homepage in the future and check out the "Gunner" under products. It looks as though they are in the process of constructing a new web page. http://www.boneheadcomposites.com/Home.htm Enjoy.
  9. I don't get the impression that this is intended to restrict jumpers from flying with one-another. In foresight, it appears as though it would be meant as a "tool", rather, a method of determining: 1) What kind of planned dives that you will be to prepare someone (with less experience) for before a skydive 2) Organizing two-ways, medium-ways, or big-ways depending on sizes of groups. 3) On more experienced dives, you can determine a better (slot-perfect) skydive depending on versatility level. And who to put in the base is just as important. 4) ...and I think more... There are two ways to perceive the Rebel Freefly System. I mean, is the glass half full or empty? Don't get me wrong, I don't think that any change in the current method (if there is one), compared a method that involves management is going to agree with everyone. I agree with the first sentence, but not the second one. For #1, I can only see the license as a facilitator of getting people together. It isn't as though we are going to refuse jumping with people who don't have a license. I'd never do that. If managed properly, the (state) representatives at each DZ will make sure that segregation is avoided. the totally. Dude, #2... What is that all about? We do "small ways" ALL the time at our DZ. People are always jumping with different people, on different size jumps (two/three/four/even six-ways). If this isn't happening anywhere else, I would say this license is precisely what we need to get people jumping together MORE. The answer to this question could be seen in the previous post here, http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=642285;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread. You'll be able to see how this idea has a much different objective than the AD system. The goal of previous licenses has been to focus on a group of skilled flyers in hopes of bringing them together at competitions across the country. The problem this goal is that it benefits very few people, both, for people to improve freefly skills the sport and financially. It is possible that Levin has more generous objectives here. I'm not saying that this is philanthropy here. But we have discussed this in that post above. Hopefully, in the end, this is for the sake of safety, speeded improvement, a semi-universal and common knowledge of freefly levels. Blue Sky's

    Pub?

Damn FIREWALLS. Can't get to chat sessions via proxy at the office. Small price to pay for a T1 line at my desk though. LOL
  12. Here is a couple you may like. Not too big, but they're cool. Enjoy!
  13. Don't worry Kev; I smoke, I'm offensive, and make sense most of the time. LOL
  14. How many jumps did you put on it? Did you get it altered or did you just return it in some way?
  15. Great that you guys over there had fun too!!! Check out this post from http://www.skydivecrosskeys.com 09-10-2003 The turnout for night jumps was terrific, and the moon was enormous! Thank you to all the skydivers who visited from other dropzones. It was great to see everybody! We flew 12 loads in the chopper and then we ate 2 cakes, thanks to Shannon, Cindy, and Sarah, who had the birthday! Glenn Bangs gave the jump briefing. Johnny and the 3-ring boys provided the noise, and entertained in the landing area. Thankfully, the turbine chopper is even louder than they are. We watched night freefall video on the big screen in the hangar. Everyone had such a good time that, at midnight, there were still people in the hangar, reluctant to admit they had to go home, as it was a weeknight. We predict the USPA will get a flood of D License applications tomorrow!
  16. The way I see it, I do this every day that it is sunny out and I am jumping. Reverse the question and say, "Would you jump out of the plane for 100 Million without a reserve - only a main?" Uhm, I would argue that most people who have been in the sport for a while would do this. Carefully addressed, the odds are in your favor to survive. Sucking it low on one jump (not necessarily a terrible experience), let the cypress fire to save my life, and $100 million... Heck, want to do me any more favors? Skydivers jumping rounds only 25 years ago would do hop and pops from 2k and pull regularly at 800 feet. Ask McGowan.
  17. The vibe feels different; I think this is because of the economy in general. Not as many tandem student to show for, gas prices hiked, and it's possible that people (in general) have a fear of aircraft unlike prior to Sept 11th. Legislatively, there have been alteration of the class airspace of airports with (and without) DZ's at them. These changes make it more difficult to perform demo's, etc., etc. See if you can get issues of Parachutest that were released the following months after September 11th. Under Capital Commentary, you'll see what the USPA was going through during that time. They did a good job reporting how improved security of the country was projected to affect skydivers.
  18. I don't know man. I've got two recalled Crossfire (1's); a 119 and a 109. Both fly nicely and without unexpected issues. Riser pressure takes getting used to, but every canopy has its different characteristics. I'm liking them, Good luck with your new ones Canuck! -DC
  19. Clearly both and very intense about each.
  20. Whazup Crazy, With more notice, I could hook up a studio (sound and light proof) to sleep in on 38th and 8th. It's through a friend, so...it would take about a week or so.
  21. whoah, glad that isn't the US constitution and justice system taking that hit.
  22. Much agreed. By far the most astounding movies EVER put on screen. I hope the films creator goes on to do more interesting and complex stories such as the Lord of the Rings. I'd wait though. There will be several collectibles of greater value after the Holidays this year. Word has it that theatres are setting up marathon schedules already for the spring. You'll be able to watch the unedited version from beginning to end. -something like 10 to 12 hours.
  23. Hey, like my Lamborghini... Me and my bro!!!
