I have a new baby girl that a reserve won't pay for her college or my mortgage. I also plan on never having to use my reserve -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

I know this has been beat up and on quite a bit, but some of the things I've found thorugh searches on the site haven't panned out... I just tried AIG and they basically laughed me off the phone. Has anyone had any good luck within the last few months in getting a life insurance policy or accidental death policy?? If so with whom??? Funny I never thought of it like that - but I actually hate the moments up to the point where I huck myself off of a cornice whilst skiing or snowboarding. I don't deal well with the height issue. For some reason, I still love hucking and landing a big jump on my sticks. I think it is the way I feel after - the feeling of, wow I survived. It is savorable as you put it - for years in some cases for me. I can still remember some of the bigger hucks I've done and how proud I felt to pull them off... How about just plain brother or sister (if your sex is easily decided upon hheheh)... That's the way I look at all skydivers and basers - I consider them all equals i.e. bros or sistuhz. 90's and 180s sub 100, got hurt, curtailed to double fronts for the next 2-3 years and only basically ever do 90s anymore... im lame and a dad too though hehehe. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

I think its the only natural progression... Plus with ambassadors to the sport like the Nelson's among other highly skilled Vert fliers - its not a matter of if but when it will begin to take hold. Its strange, four way belly used to be thought of as impossible - now its standard. I shutter to think of what my newborn daughter of four months will be doing by the time shes up and flying. Me personally - I track and pull low - but honestly I wouldn't suggest that to anyone else. Its my choice and puts ONLY me in harms way really which is for the better of all on the current load. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

You know what is funny - when I first moved to Colorado 8 years ago I was blown away at the intra-skydiving rifts and jump alot less now because of that. My rigger uses a check in check out list for every tool used in a repack. I think more riggers out there should. It is the only way to be sure that what you use to pack doesn't GET packed. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

I swear to god when you are coming back from Utah into Colorado, the first to Denver sign says something like 250 and the next one says like 265 even though you've been travelling east. Actually I would bet that most high end gymnasts would pick up base much more quickly than the average jhoe shmoe. Spatial awareness can go a long way when you need to be accurate with your movements and reactions. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

Either way if you want to get good at it you need to understand the fundamentals of photography and for that you should take a class. Those fundamentals apply both to film and dig mediums and will take you far in your career. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
