Interesting position to start at. I assume given that you haven't been able to watch Al Jazeera in order to formulate this conception that you are simply buying into much of what the US media tells you about the channel and the people of the middle east. Could it be possible that it is a news channel that reports on the Middle East in order to balance out the vitriolic spume coming from the likes of Fox News. I have watched, and worked with, Al Jazeera English (albeit not the Arabic one) and found it to be balanced and informative. You are aware, are you not, that Climate Change isn't just the weather in your local neighbourhood...? We live in a closed ecosystem, albeit a big one. It's an OK list but a little bit simplistic. For example - pilot chute hesitation and PC in tow. You think you have one before you know you have the other in many cases. Also line-over. I know of cases where the line-over is flying straight, often on larger more docile canopies, the canopy is still flying relatively straight - what hapened to trying to fix the problem? Broken brake line - land on risers? I suppose for FJC students it could help and I imagine that is the target audience but I would hope those who have printed a copy for their gear bag are taking advice from their instructors and not just in this list. The most important things in this list IMO should be (with exception of 2 out): Remain altitude aware Identify issue Attempt to fix if possible Chop at decision altitude if not fixed. Seriously? I would have thought, was taught, and see multiple signs at most DZs I jump at that you should avoid jump run at all costs. Yes proper exit separation should help this but why track up jump run if you don't have to. What I see when I watch this is a bunch of lads specifically going to a Halal restuarant, with a fucking video camera, to wind up the employees and then recording the result. How long were they there demanding bacon in their burger? Do they do this often? Is this a running gag for them? We don't know the answers to any of these questions and yet we are generally happy to accept that a video showing an employee blowing up (bad use of words!) in a KFC is because of a simple innocent request for bacon on a burger. There is always going to be a cost to rejumps and it should be publicly available from the DZ. Where are you going to end up jumping in the UK? I would suggest you do AFF at the DZ that will become your home as then the instructors will get to know you and can be around for advice later in your career.
