  1. Sure! Love the smells and looks and free pickup after Christmas.
  2. And one of the ones I heard from back in the day lost a testicle. Well...it was a modified Mr. Bill though.
  3. Care to explain that Bill? Why is it so sad that most people at DZ's are Americans? Nice try, you left out "this sort". And I agree. The money grabbers tend to be Americans. The foreigners all have loads of money from other sources anyways
  4. For retirement savings invest in whatever your company matches. I've got both an Roth IRA and 401k as my company contributes to both. Can't pass up free money.
  5. Well... I've taken some elective MBA classes when I was doing my MAcc. I thought they were all a load of crap. Useless in the long run. If you're going for the MBA make sure you choose a niche like finance or marketing within the MBA. Otherwise it's a waste of money. One of the most overrated degrees. Oh wait you're not paying for it. In that case do whatever you want
  6. Hmmm. I like the feet idea. Maybe I will see about a permanent ankle attachment for 2 little pegs and stick them inside the PVC tube. Releasing the whole affair would just consist of spreading my legs so the little pegs slide out from the ends of the larger PVC. Getting out of the A/C might be fun :) In the case you dealt with, how did the jumper exit? -Michael Did you not read this? He has done it and says it's not worth the risk

    GPS

    I'm thinking the Garmin 255W for $119.

    GPS

I've been wanting one for my car for awhile but have no idea what to look for nor what brand to get: Magellan, Garmin, TomTom. Was thinking about getting one of those on sale next weekend for about $100. What should I look for? How do the road updates work? I would think the cheaper models do not come with updates but the more expensive ones do?
  9. Same here plus I have the voice plan. But I'm on a family plan with my parents and we ended getting free upgrades to data due to some billing issues.

    Twilight

Agreed. It definitely exceeds it's status as a teeny bopper movie
  11. It was a fun weekend! Nice save Jeff :)
  12. If we're talking about the same Doc (who currently lives in Colorado), he lost his leg later in life in a skydiving plane collision. He was skydiving before he lost his leg. If you are talking about Steve (Doc) Kinnett, I believe the loss of his leg was due to cancer many years ago. I met him in September in Colorado. Very cool to watch him on video skydiving. And yes he was skydiving prior to losing it.
  13. I have a PD 143 reserve that I bought for my first rig at 50 jumps. My mains started at a PD 170 down to a katana 107. I do not ever plan on downsizing my reserve regardless of what size or type of main I have.
  14. I know you said you just did AFF but the only sure fire way you'll be able to continue jumping with be static line. Unless you can take any day off anytime your best bet with AFF will be to wait until spring. On the other hand I think Kapow does static line. You might see if they will work with you on some modified static line program if you want to continue jumping through the winter. Or just take a week off and go south to get licensed. But either way you will not be jumping much. Such is weather in the northwest. And congrats on that first jump, don't forget the beer
  15. Go with Infinity. Can't beat their customer service or price. Any of the Sabre 2, Safire 2, Pilot, Triathlon, Spectre type canpoies are great to start.
  16. I jump with ear and nose piercings. Granted the earrings I wear are almost always small studs and I always wear a helmet. Also on the nose piercing, it's only a stud, not a ring and I've made close to 1800 jumps with an open face without issue. I'd be more worried about snagging my chin strap or something rather than the piercing.
  17. Thanks guys. Apparently I cannot change this setting on the phone. I have to do it through the Sprint website. All sorted now.
  18. I tried that but I have no option for any autosignature.
  19. So I finally upgrade my phone after 4 years to a Curve. When I send emails from the BB it adds this line at the end: Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®. How do I turn that off so it doesn't attach to my emails?
  20. Just got a new phone after 4 years. I love my blackberry (curve)! Granted I've bearly touched the surface of what it can do so far but I love the full keyboard, and having email and internet access as well. I basically got it because it was free with the rebate and I wasn't too keen on the touch screens.
  21. And everyone who says that probably couldn't get 10 points out of that draw. Just because they make it look easy doesn't mean it's actually easy. What draw? Is my point. The formation seemed to never change shape. only two of the guys ever came close to turning 90 degrees. the other two were completely stationary. And I bet if you were to try this draw you could not stay in place and turn the points. It's all about experience
  22. So is this a costume halloween party on Saturday night? Or just a party?
  23. For that matter you can exit at 2000 ft on a hop and pop all day and never have a problem. Gotta love the Pacific Northest.
