No. I think they whole reaction to H1N1 is rather a knee jerk one. It's just the flu. Doesn't seem any more serious than any other kind of flu, statistics wise. After all, any flu can kill you from it's complications. They is to pay attention to your health and get treatment when needed, and prevention when needed. Not to rush out and get every kind of vaccine there is. Besides I'd rather they work out the kinks first on someone else. And yes I do get the regular flu shot, but only because it's free at work.

So I'm trying to see if I can get a flight this weekend, Fri-Sun, to Perris. Where do you find last minute flight deals? The normal websites I use, travelocity, southwest, hotwire, all are like $500. How do you purchase decent last minute tickets?

Even with the faster fall rates on big ways, you always still have people going low it seems. And it's always easier to go faster by adding weights then it is to go slower. Maybe that's the reason for the faster trend?

Which makes the protec safer in my book. On the other hand I don't wear one as I perfer the cool theme of skydiving helmets

Dude, a protec actually DOES protect your head. Skydiving specific helmets do not by comparision.

You can secure and audible to a protec. Just use twisty ties and/or rubber bands. Cut out a place of the foam on the inside by the ear and secure. You can also get a camera set up on a protec. You'll just need to buy the attachments when you're ready. Check out www.skydanceheadgear.com.

I've had two replace my cypres battery before two years but less than 500 jumps before. It was when I was jumping 4-6 days a week and alternating between tandems and camera. Just turning it on that many times a week was enough to drain the battery faster.

All the more reason to go Infinity! They will make any size reserve and main you want.

Although I've never had a problem turning off mine, I have heard several people complain about theirs. In every instance I was able to turn it off myself. Seems they are simply pressing the button too hard and too long and that is why it was not activating the shut down mode. Light and short and it works
