So then...What's your jump average per year???

Recommended Posts

I made 250ish jumps last year, I've made just a few more than 100 this year, most of them in the last 2 months. The weather just wasn't there in the beginning of the season. :S

My first 2 years in the sport are not really reflective of what I would consider a normal year for me to be. Normal would be the way this year is shaping up to be.

1 my first year
12 my second year
150 my third year

But, if we go with average, 54.3333333333.....;)

I'm liking the increase in jump #'s. B|

Whoever answered 600 - 1000....

:P:P:P:P:P:P

Anyway, in my first year I did about 120. I'd like that average to climb towards 200. I'd love for my average to be 600 - 1000. A girl can dream...:S

9 years in the sport.
3000 jumps

333 per year.

However I only did 500 over 3 years thanks to Uncle Sam, and that kinda blows my average some.

Out of those jumps, only 200 or so are "work" jumps.

Wow! I'm impressed with you guys. I've managed 475 in 10 active years of jumping.(3yrs dormant)

Clubs in the UK don't seem to be geared up for high jump numbers. Most are only weekend clubs, then some don't start till late or finish early (local restrictions), busy clubs are only interested in getting their mates jumping.....and to that the British weather........

If I spend all day at the clubs I can reasonably travel to, I'm very lucky to get 4 in all day...in fact I can't remember getting five in a day for years

If the weather is good in the UK, the location(s) you use are still limited as far as how much of the day they can jump? It's a shame to waste all that daylight.

We are lucky to have DZs where the first load goes up anywhere from 7 to 9 am and the last one around 8 pm or later, not counting night jumps.

I began at about 200 jumps a year and have been at about 400/year in the last 2 years.

My average is 185.46 jumps per year.

My highest year was 1992, my first year as a Golden Knight Demonstrator, making 369 jumps.

My best year recently was 2000 (218 jumps).

Last year I made 141 jumps; this year will be below average because I was out of the country for 2.5 months in prime jumping season (although the weather was very poor at home).

I like to set goals for myself - this year's goal was 300. I have made 99 so far - I have a ways to go!!

Lots of thunderstorms in the area today, but I have the day off - so I'm off to Raeford to see if I can't add a few more to my logbook!
