OK thanks guys for the info, the BPA article looks quite promising, will read that later. I didn't expect quick-fix answers, and realise that coaching is the way to go. But in the time before I get some I just wanted to be able to try out some stuff. Cheers, I'll let you know how I get on.......

I've been FF'ing for around 30 jumps or so. I can hold a sit, go into a stand and controllably turn left and right. Now, I'm thinking I'd like to get my FF1 to legally be able to FF with others (had my ear chewed for trying to do this on the weekend), but as well as my current skills (above) I need to be able to demonstrate slow falling and forward/backward movement. So here's my questions - 1 - How do you 'Slow' fall. 2 - How do I generate forward/backward movement. I tried on the weekend by leaning slightly backwards, but all I achieved was flipping onto my back each time. 3 - I am able to turn quite well, but I am rotating my palms to deflect the air. Is this the correct way of flying. 4 - I have searched the site a bit trying to find a 'How To.....' beginers thread for FF but cannot find one. Is there such a page or site. Cheers for your advise, BTW I know I need to get some coaching, a trip to Nethers and see Euphoria again I think. I did some coaching with Gary and Alec some time ago, just to enable me to sit, but not too many FF coaches at my regular club.

Yep, we haven't been hit by any increases YET! But we already pay £17 ($32 ?) for a 13k hit, so yes - BE grateful....

Yeah, that's what I was hoping! It's due for scrapping in June next year anyway, so was hoping not to invest any time/money on it as I'll be getting a Cypres2 soon anyway.... Can anyone confirm that this is the case?

OK, here's the story.... I have a two pin Cypres fitted to my existing rig. I have a new container on order and expect delivery within a week or so. Only just realised though, the new kit is a single pin, can I use my old two pin Cypres on a single pin rig just by disconnecting one of the cutters? Hope so or else I'll need to get a new one...

Well, if you need one, no matter how unlikely this may be, at 1,500ft you may want one for the rest of your life!! As far as the Benchmade Model 5, it arrived a couple of days ago. It's pretty cool, but mine came with a lanyard and hard case as this is all they stocked. But for me it comes out a little too easy, so would advise anyone who is thinking about getting one to get the nylon pouch version. It may take a second or two longer to get at it, but at least you know it'll be there and not fallen out after a freefall collision/hard opening/bumpy exit etc... Perhaps if someone has the pouch version they could give their comments, having not seen one in the flesh, I may be blowing it out of my ass!

OK, I think I'm gettin' my head round this. But how would I use this method to eliminate the need to stitch a fingertrap on my toggles. Once fully attached the spare line would normally be fingertrapped up the brakeline, yeah? But how would I then thread any line back through, it's already in the line? Wow! I'm impressed with you guys. I've managed 475 in 10 active years of jumping.(3yrs dormant) Clubs in the UK don't seem to be geared up for high jump numbers. Most are only weekend clubs, then some don't start till late or finish early (local restrictions), busy clubs are only interested in getting their mates jumping.....and to that the British weather........ If I spend all day at the clubs I can reasonably travel to, I'm very lucky to get 4 in all day...in fact I can't remember getting five in a day for years

FrenchyDiver, I had a lay off of about 3years after jumping for about 10years. Now I'm back this year, the excitement and enthusiasm for jumping is even more than before I've bought new kit and spend all my time thinking, daydreaming, watching and reading about jumping again. I just love it..... Glad you're Mrs has finally let you back..

I'll let you know Mat. I've ordered one today from 'Cross Cut' in the UK. £29 with the hard case and lanyard. I first saw it in the mag too, hope it's as good as the piccy
