In other news (a bit in the breeze still) apparently Trump in already renovating his residence in Mar-a-Lago. That should be interesting because his approval specifically precludes his having a personal residence there. I reckon Rudy will sort that out.

Phil1111 167 #590 November 27, 2020 Why Did So Many Americans Vote for Trump?. NYT editorial so you'll have to disable javascript to pass paywall. "Mr. Trump has a knack for leveraging the animosities of polarized partisanship to cleave his supporters from sources of credible information and inflame them with vilifying lies. This time, it wasn’t enough to save his bacon, which suggests that polarization hasn’t completely wrecked our democracy’s capacity for self-correction: Sweeping a medium-size city’s worth of dead Americans under the rug turned out to be too tall an order. However, Mr. Trump’s relentless campaign to goose the economy by cutting taxes, running up enormous deficits and debt, and hectoring the Fed into not raising rates was working for millions of Americans. We tend to notice when we’re personally more prosperous than we were a few years before." Above seems to summarize it best but its worth the effort to read. It doesn't address the issues that will face Biden but the lack of fact in the right wing discourse. For Biden the need to wind down what was $3 trillion in stimulus via debt this year alone, the GOP/McConnell senate. All combine to create a hurricane of headwinds. RonD1120 34 #597 November 28, 2020 "The path for President Trump to obtain enough votes in the electoral college to win re-election has now been revealed. The effort hinges on the public exposure of election fraud in hearings that began last Wednesday in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and continue next week in Arizona on Monday and Michigan on Tuesday. Jenna Ellis and Rudy Giuliani have made clear their strategy for getting Donald Trump re-elected. They intend to present evidence of widespread election fraud that calls into question the validity of the popular vote in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona. Although the public spotlight is currently focused on lawsuits that may prove in court claims about election fraud, it’s worth remembering that Presidents are not elected by the courts. In December, state legislatures will choose electors who will vote in the electoral college on December 14th. The vote of the electoral college will determine the next President." ~Dave Hayes, 27 Nov 2020 Now we wait and see how this plays out. The fat lady is about to grace the stage. So in other words, they tried elections (which have been considered fair in the past -- what changed?), they tried the courts (fairly conservative in those states). Now the last gasp is asking the sometimes-gerrymandered state legislatures to vote their political affiliation rather than the stated voice of the people they represent. Look into the coup in Wilmington, DE sometime -- maybe that's what the Qbots can aspire to next Wendy P.

Setting aside your hopes and prayers for just a minute, thus far, Trump's lawyers have yet to offer a scintilla of evidence of any fraud whatsoever. Trump lost fair and square, Ron. There is no evidence otherwise. Judge after judge has rejected Trump's false and unsubstantiated claims of widespread fraud. That's reality. In the absence of any fraud found, much less widespread fraud affecting millions of votes, do you really want the will of American voters rejected and overturned so as to reinstall an illegitimate Trump as President? No fraud equals illegitimate. You get that, right?
