Is Trump crazy!

Recommended Posts

It depends on how you define crazy. Crazy is not synonymous with mentally ill. I am assuming you are thinking it is.

President Trump is a different type of personality and intellect not normally seen in American politics. That is why he was elected.

About half the people in the U.S. are sick, tired and angry with politics as usual.

The best thing that can happen for America is to let President Trump and his administration run out two terms and make the drastic changes this country needs.

After 2024 the liberals can come in and make some adjustments. If they are as intelligent as they claim to be, they will tweak the successful policies and make improvements.

Are they the intellectually elite? We will see. They are smart but tend not to be truly elite.

Like a fox....

Pretty much all of the seemingly crazy things he does are designed to do one thing. Keep the focus and attention on him. The depth of his need is insane. He is fine with people calling him crazy. As long as they are talking about him.

I don't think this guy is in any risk of needing to follow through on the offer:

Ron, wake up

I am fully conscious and keeping the faith.

I see the conflict in the spiritual realm, not the fake news realm.

And who defines it.

I don't think it will take long to improve the successful ones. There won't be that many. What to do with the "less than successful" programs will take a lot more time.

Rebuilding our relationships with the world community.
Reestablishing trust from our allies.
Getting the budget deficit under control so we can start to work on the national debt.
Rolling back this "Jim Crow" era that trump is promoting.
But putting some dignity back into the office of the President will be the easiest thing to do. Anyone short of Dennis Rodman could do that.
Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done.
Louis D Brandeis

Where are we going and why are we in this basket?

>And fake news is ?

To a Trump supporter - reality.

Keep in mind this is the administration that has given us "alternative facts" and "truth isn't truth." We have Trump denying what he said in recorded interviews. We have Trump denying what he said in public tweets.

Fake news is what they call any fact that harms their agenda. Illegal immigration was down under Obama? Well, that doesn't fit the narrative at all. Fake news! Trump admitted he was thinking about Russiagate when he fired Comey? Well, he wishes he hadn't let that slip. So now anyone who says that - fake news!

Truth isn't truth, not when it damages the far right's agenda.

There was an article I read a while ago that was trying to look for a silver lining about Trump and his legacy; the hope was that it would cause significant concern for the ever increasing power of the executive branch (that Dems and Repubs have both proliferated immensely). And part of that increased power is what has lead to severe polar politics and POTUS meddling in State politics (again from Repubs and Dems).

Curbs to discretionary spending, power of pardon, Presidential directives, etc may come, and bring more power back to the House and Senate; hopefully (fingers crossed) curbing some of the extreme polarization and stopping the 180 degree swings between POTUS's. Any way you cut it, and from any side "undoing" and pulling a complete 180 on the previous POTUS is a gigantic waste of money and time and doesn't serve the public. We've already seen it with Trump trying to erase everything Obama did, and if a Dem wins in 2020 the same thing will happen all over again, along with having to rebuild our institutions. Even if a Repub wins who isn't Trump, there will likely be a lot of walking back on Trump policy and the same amount of rebuilding necessary just to function properly.

A quick search and I wasn't able to find the article, too much has happened in the last two years. But it was something like "Trump is teaching the American people a lesson they didn't know they needed" or something like that, and it focused on ever expanding POTUS power.

THIS is not that article, but somewhat similar.

What are those drastic changes that the US needs?
If it does not cost anything you are the product.

The top 0.1% need more money, Social Security and Medicare are too generous and need to be cut, and we need more health insurance policies that don't actually cover you when you get sick.

Heck yeah! Well, except for Ron's Social Security and Medicare. Unlike all those other people, he earned them.

What are those drastic changes that the US needs?

To pull our federal government back toward a republic, away from the established socialistic oligarchy.

Ummm, a billionaire businessman who has packed the government with his own family members is going to pull the US away from being an oligarchy?

I don’t think that word means what you think it means.
Do you want to have an ideagasm?

I will rephrase that for you to imply a broader meaning.

A billionaire has hijacked the public agenda by selling a false populist bill of goods. So he, his family and billionaire friends. Can use massive tax breaks, a unprecedented stimulus at public expense, all to line their pockets. This new oligarchy was built on empty promises, illusionary walls and a boot on the neck of inferior races.

I am not sure how Trump can accomplish that.
What is the socialistic oligarchy in the US? It may sound like a dump question, but from a European perspective there is nothing or next to nothing socialistic about the US.

You clearly don't understand what either of those words mean.

He has just figured both those words are bad, so together they must be superbad. Only Trump can fix superbad, all the best people say so.

The idiocy of many people is not surprising me anymore. That is one outcome of the trump presidency.
