And yes, you are also correct that later in life he had very little to do with the Church and despised most of the religion. However, when it suited him, he used Christianity as a way to justify what he was doing to the Jews - even though his beliefs had almost nothing to do with mainstream Christianity.

Very similar to what Muslim extremists do with their religion - throw out all the mainstream beliefs and use only the pieces that help them achieve their ends.

This is a long article, and the link has been posted in this forum before. But if you really want to understand the depth of the link between ISIS and Islam, it is well worth reading. It's true that their beliefs are outside the mainstream of the 1.6 billion people considered Muslim. But it's also true that they don't merely use religion and toss it away when it doesn't suit them. Their whole reason for being and operating as they do is rooted in their belief system.

It is very disturbing to find out exactly how these people think. But it also reveals the weaknesses in their plans and how they will ultimately fail.

Well, he is an American Christian, you are an American Christian. But he is a lot smarter than you. And he has the respect and admiration of many millions of Americans. Far more than Michael savage will ever have. He is a good family man who loves his wife and children and acts the part. He has never been found in scandal like so many other politicians.

If you would set aside your difference of opinion on political matters and take the worth of the man as a man, like he would likely do for you, you might find your lack of respect to be unjustified.

It's possible to have strong disagreements with a man and still understand that in the eyes of God he is your equal and entitled to a modicum of respect.
